An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join the Employment and Training Unit (ETU) of Falkirk Council as a Programme Assistant.

Working from home and Grangemouth Municipal Chambers you will be responsible for a broad range of specialist administrative support functions as part of the Central Support Team.

It is essential that you are an excellent communicator, a team player and already possess an SVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification. Previous administrative experience is essential as well as in-depth knowledge of creating and using management information systems.

A large part of this role will be supporting the ETU in relation to financial systems including invoice and purchase order input, budget monitoring and tracking using Excel so the ideal candidate should have some experience in this field with an eye for detail.

Experience of administrative support of national training programmes, as well as knowledge of Falkirk Council’s systems and procedures would be advantageous, but not essential.

The ideal candidate should be self motivated, forward thinking, solution focussed and able to deliver a client centred service.

This post is temporary for a 2 year period due to service requirement.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant working in Moray Primary School. As part of this role you will help prepare and serve food for schools and/or offices within Falkirk Council. You will be motivated and enthusiastic in contributing to the delivery of an effective and efficient customer service.

Previous experience as a Catering Assistant is desirable but is not essential as training will be given. Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who display a positive attitude, are passionate, organised and can work successfully as part of a team. A strong willingness to learn is also critical.

You will work 7.5 hours per week on a term time basis, Monday to Friday 12 noon - 1.30pm.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
