What skills and experience we're looking for

As part of the role:

• You will follow the direction of the class teacher
• You may be required to work away from the classroom on a one-to-one basis
• You will provide one-to-one support to access educational activities and learning as per the pupils EHCP

Role Information

Classroom Support:
- Under the direction of the Inclusion Manager, work with individuals and small groups of students within a classroom situation to ensure each child has the maximum access to all learning activities.

We are seeking an eager and friendly Teaching Assistant who has proven experience of working successfully across Early Years, KS1 (Key Stage 1) and KS2 (Key Stage 2). The successful Teaching Assistant will love working with and helping children to achieve their goals and be highly motivated, with a can-do-attitude.

The role will include:

• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
• Work with students who require additional support
• A flexible approach to working within different key stages
• To support groups of children in the classroom
• When necessary support the individual needs of an individual child
• A high level of communication skills with the ability to relate positively to children and adults
• Interest in supporting children with complex SEND
• A proven ability to work on their own initiative

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with all key stages
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification desirable
• Positive mindset and ready for a new challenge
• SEND Experience ideal, but not required
• Have a kind and patient nature
