The Histology laboratories at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and South Warwick Foundation trust are looking for a full time BMA to join our team. We have full UKAS ISO15189 accreditation.

Previous Laboratory experience would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.

This is not a trainee BMS role. We only offer IBMS Registration portfolio training to colleagues in Trainee BMS roles.

The role will include duties as required, such as registering cases onto the laboratory information system, microscope slide and tissue block filing, receipt, unpacking, checking and labelling of diagnostic samples and dealing with telephone enquiries, receiving stock deliveries and unloading these into the storage areas, removal of waste into storage areas, microtomy, embedding, collating cases for meetings, daily and weekly laboratory equipment cleaning/maintenance and retrieval of blocks/slides from storage.

You will be working under supervision and according to Standard Operative Procedures performing an extended range of technical support duties within the laboratory; predominantly supporting Biomedical Scientist staff within the team to facilitate optimal patient care.

The successful applicants will be part of a school team working with teaching staff and Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistants in providing guidance, support and education for pupils. This may include, support in lessons, personal care, therapy and communication programmes within both small group and individual situations. Although these posts will initially start in one department all applicants should be willing to work with any class throughout the school.

We are seeking to employ positive, enthusiastic people whose personal attributes will contribute to a team of staff fully committed to ‘going the extra mile’ for our pupils’ needs. Permanent: 34 Hours per week £19,526 - £20,531 PA or £12.94 - £13.61 per hour

Our school provides for students aged 11 to 19 who have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties, ASC and a small number of whom have additional complex and challenging behaviours.

We are seeking to employ positive, enthusiastic people whose personal attributes will contribute positively to a committed team of staff. The successful applicants for the post will be required to work across the school and sixth form with a wide range of pupils and needs and be flexible to support in any of the classes and age phases. The candidate must have

• Experience of working in an education or care setting supporting children or young people.
• An awareness of learning difficulties and the challenges these can present.
• The ability to lead small group and 1:1 learning.
• The ability to work in a team and develop strategies to allow pupils with complex needs to access learning and promote positive behaviour.

• The physical ability to continue to support secondary aged pupils through periods of Challenging Behaviour strictly following the principles and procedures of the school’s training programme (which prioritises avoidance of this need).

What skills and experience we're looking for

Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Full Time position on a temporary basis

Rates of pay vary between £85-£110 per day depending on experience

I currently have the pleasure of working with a popular Secondary School based in Warwickshire that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis. Your role will be to support KS3 (years11-14 years old) students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis that have additional learning needs.

Requirements for the ideal candidate below:

• Happy to work 5 days a week starting at 8:30am and finishing at 15.30pm each day.
• Passionate about providing quality support to students with additional learning needs such as Autism, SEMH and Complex Needs
• Previous experience working with KS3 students desired but not essential.
• Have a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
• A minimum of 6 months’ referenceable experience in an educational setting.
