The Role
We are recruiting for compassionate Night Care Assistants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers every day.
As a Night Care Assistant at Margery Girling House, you would be expected to embrace values of empathy, respect, and dignity as you provide essential care to individuals in need.

In caring for our customers, your main duties will include:
• personal care
• medication administration
• supporting people through temporary or terminal illness
• helping with eating and drinking
• light domestic duties such as bed making
• support with social, physical activities and mental stimulation such as hobbies and recreation

Margery Girling House is situated on the coast in Old Felixstowe. Felixstowe is an historic seaside town with many local amenities including nature reserves, cafes, doctor’s surgeries and shops.

*To be eligible for the £750 a joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:
• If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (eg, college, sixth form, apprenticeship).
• You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk.
• You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment

Person Specification...
• Care Certificate, is desirable
• QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, is desirable
• Full driving licence, is desirable
