The Firearms Specialist provides a Dress Blue Experience and executes departmental procedures and follows all firearms regulations. Reports to the Department Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Operations Manager or Store Manager.

Focuses on delivering a best-in-class customer experience and driving strong customer engagement with the firearms department.  Focuses on solution-based selling, offering applicable accessories and services to the customer in addition to the firearm.  Required to strictly adhere to all governing bodies¿ processes/requirements including but not limited to: ATF, FFL, DOD, Marine Corps, State, Corporate and local command for selling, handling, receiving, transferring, inventory management, and records management for all weapons and ammunitions.

Communicates with management to support customer inventory requests and general business needs.  Uses exception reporting to identify merchandise categories requiring corrective action to protect sales and customer service levels. Follows the special-order process according to standard processes. Supports advertisement and promotional set up requirements including, merchandising, signing, pricing and other tasks as needed. 

Must be flexible to support the operations of the building/command they work in.   Will actively engage with Sales Managers on all departmental operations including ensuring RIMA (Retail Inventory Management Application) scans are completed and follow through is executed to include inventory adjustments when necessary. Supports and participates year-end inventory planning, execution and researching variance reports.  

Will be asked to support store operations in areas of POGs (Planograms), replenishing the sales floor, managing on hand integrity, receiving of products, backroom organization, customer program engagement, cash register duties and other operational tasks both within and outside of the assigned department. May be periodically assigned to work in other areas of the store (outside firearms) when firearms workload is not present, is significantly diminished, or there is more staffing than required workload within firearms.

Mentors, trains and leads by example for firearms employees to achieve best practice and brand standards. 

Maintains highest service levels, and communicating with all stakeholders, including customers, associates and all management levels.  Completes all required training to maintain Firearms eligibility. May work outside of retail in other firearms activities within MCCS including but not limited to the firing range, or target practice facility.

May maintain some or all key holder standards; Opening, closing, vendor management, light custodial duties and register operations/cash handling.  May require additional training, certifications or licenses as required by the business / position including but not limited to, food safety training and military star card access. Participates in year-end inventory. Identifies and communicates potential risk of loss and/or theft.

• Serves as executive assistant for Director, FFR and reports directly to the N92/N94 Program Director. Performs duties of a highly confidential nature, receiving inquiries and multiple email tasking's from DON, CNIC, CNRSE and outside agencies.
• Ensures all correspondence directed to and from FFR Executives is reviewed for content, recorded, routed correctly and properly prepared/formatted.
• Prepares, directs and coordinates taskers and special projects within FFR, assuring the full range of administrative/office support services. Prepares a wide variety of special and reoccurring projects and assignments that cross program lines and have significant impact on the operation of FFR. Knowledge of Navy program goals and objectives, federal and Navy polices statutes, requirements and policies relative to FFR programs.
• Coordinates all aspects of the FFR Executives trips; makes travel arrangements, prepares itineraries, and verifies/assures proper administrative details. Assures the FFR Executives have necessary information papers, read-aheads, trip books, speeches, etc. required for each trip.
• Prepares travel vouchers and any necessary correspondence upon completion of trips. Arranges appointments, determines key meetings which the FFR Executives should attend and what staff elements should be involved and arranges for those meetings. Attends staff meetings to keep informed of changes in administrative needs, requirements and practices.
• Receives and reviews incoming administrative and military personnel related correspondence, directives, regulations, instructions, publications and other written materials. Reviews outgoing correspondence, directives and publications. Edits to assure completeness and conformance to format and policy using the Navy Correspondence Manual. Knowledge of formats forms, typing policies and common terminology of the program for which the work is to be performed.
• Authenticates correspondence, orders, records, reports and other official communications and obtains authorized signatures as appropriate. Distributes written materials ensuring dissemination to appropriate units and personnel. May assist with composing correspondence for signature of Director RPM's with preparation of various reports and special projects concerning administration of the program.
• Answers telephone, ascertains nature of call and directs caller to appropriate staff takes a message or personally provides desired information. Provides administrative support including preparation of briefs, mail preparation, copying, distribution, typing, fax, scan, and travel orders.
• Plans and executes a variety of administrative functions, to include but not limited to, such duties as preparing and reviewing correspondence; preparing briefings and charts; developing reports; arranging meetings and maintaining executive calendars; making travel arrangements; screening calls and tracking suspense items. Performs, coordinates, and/or participates with staff members to accomplish work. Performs a variety of internal administrative management services. Provides administrative and logistical support and overall office management for the regional administrative office in connection with the accomplishment of assigned functions.

• Seven or more years of sales experience managing the strategy and senior level relationships with key accounts in financial or information services, business intelligence, SaaS or data and analytic companies or equivalent client facing experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry

Internal applicants are expected to have the following experience:
• Five or more years of sales experience plus 18 months at a CoStar Sales Executive level or higher meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
• Five or more years of a demonstrated track record of rapidly growing and achieving revenue growth targets
• Three or more years of selling into large national accounts at the C-level

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Role Summary

Pfizer’s Machine Learning Hub is seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced machine learning researcher to design and implement new machine learning tools to accelerate drug discovery. As a member of our Machine Learning Research team, you will design new approaches to derive insights from Pfizer’s proprietary data and external datasets to generate testable hypotheses across the drug discovery continuum with a focus on extracting biological knowledge. The individual will also design, establish, and manage internal and external collaborations to advance Pfizer’s ML capabilities. The ideal candidate should have an outstanding scientific reputation in the field of machine learning research for computational biology and a demonstrated passion for solving biological problems relevant to drug discovery. Our team is located in Cambridge, MA, USA and Berlin, Germany and this role can accommodate an exceptional candidate in either location.

Role Responsibilities

Principal downstream application domains include indication expansion, target identification, disease mechanism elucidation, and partnering with practitioners in these areas to advance the state-of-the-art.

• Development and implementation of advanced machine learning models specifically designed for analyzing heterogeneous biological data. This includes data from genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other biological sources.
• Advance the internal machine learning tech stack to cope with spurious correlation, obscuring variation and inherent multimodality of biomedical, chemical, and ‘omics data
• Research, design and implement learning algorithms for analysis problems related to drug discovery
• Be an active member of a highly interdisciplinary team
• Conceive, execute and evaluate studies and experiments, interpret the results and present them to scientist in other functions
• Strengthen external visibility and scientific excellence through publishing / presenting work in reputed journals and conference/workshop venues and engaging with the scientific community

Qualifications

• Formal training in Biology, Computational Biology, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline
• PhD and 2+ years of relevant research experience in developing machine/deep learning-based solutions and a sincere interest for computational life sciences
• Hands-on experience in handling, processing, integrating, and analyzing large heterogenous biological data sets related to industrial drug discovery research (e.g., sc/snRNAseq, ATAC-seq, genomics, proteomics, etc.)
• Proven expertise in developing machine learning for computational biology
• Highly creative person with outstanding problem-solving skills to tackle complex analysis tasks in a timely fashion
• Strong publication record and demonstrated contributions to the field
• Solid expertise with ML libraries such as PyTorch, Lightning is mandatory! Programming skills in Python must be top-notch. Experience with relevant libraries of the Python scientific stack is a big plus.
• Familiarity with GPU computing both on-premises and on cloud platforms
• Fluency with common version control tools and collaborative coding
• Passion and curiosity for data and proven ability to take ideas from prototype to production
• Strong interpersonal skills, distinct collaborative attitude, excellent written and verbal communication

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,900.00 to $166,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. What You Will Achieve

Obesity is a growing health and economic burden worldwide. It is risk factor for other co-morbidities including heart disease, stroke, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), certain types of cancer, and higher mortality risk from COVID-19 infection. The Internal Medicine Research Unit (IMRU) is seeking a highly motivated non-PhD scientist with in vivo and molecular biology experience to support preclinical drug discovery efforts around obesity. The ideal candidate will be able to design and execute experiments, as well as analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate results. The candidate will work closely with their manager and other IMRU Pfizer scientists to support exploratory and portfolio efforts.

How You Will Achieve It

• Perform in vivo/ ex vivo/ in vitro experiments.
• Conduct molecular biology experiments such as but not limited to transfection, gene expression analysis, immunostaining, ELISA and Western blotting.
• Capable of following assay protocols and analyzing and interpreting data.
• Compliance to laboratory safety and electronic notebook standards.
• Work effectively with peers to support projects.
• Identify and report any experimental problems, proactively troubleshoot causative factors, and implement necessary corrections following discussion with supervisor.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology or other related discipline
• At least 3 years of lab experience in academia or in industry for Bachelor's.
• Comfortable working with rodents (minimum: handling, dosing)
• Familiarity with standard cell and molecular biology methods including but not limited to cell culture, siRNA and plasmid transfections, lentivirus preparation and transduction, immunoassays such as ELISAs and western blotting, and quantitative real-time PCR.
• Ability to use appropriate software to perform data analysis.
• Excellent organization and planning skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently or as part of a team, strong motivation with a dedicated work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative, self-motivated and the ability to work independently including analysis and troubleshooting of experimental results and reviewing literature to formulate new approaches.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with in vivo food intake/ body weight studies; or measurements of physical function (max force, treadmill running).
• Knowledge of metabolism and pharmacology.
