Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit Senior experienced/qualified Coders to join our Clinical Coding Team (Bedford site). To meet requirements of a Band 6 you will need to be flexible in your approach, a good communicator, able to work as part of a team to tight deadlines and you will hold the nationally recognised ACC (Accreditation of Clinical Coders) qualification in clinical coding.

Candidates who currently do not meet the requirements of a band 6 may be considered for a developmental role at band 5 however you must have a track record of high quality coding, you will have a good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.

Able to demonstrate competence in the use of ICD10 and OPCS 4.9 classifications, complete coding rules and application of National Clinical Coding Standards across acute specialities is a prerequisite, excellent communication skills and progressing to a band 6 once ACC have been acquired.

The Clinical Coding Department is a pivotal Service within the Trust’s IM&T Division. These are corporate functions responsible for all Trust management information, reporting both externally and internally, providing vital management information to clinicians and managers which inform and determine the basis for decision-making across the Trust.

The Trust uses ‘Electronic Documentation Record Management service’ (E.D.R.M.S), Medicode360, this enables remote working.

The post holder will provide an effective, accurate, timely, and consistent clinical coding service to the Trust and ensure all coding quality targets are achieved, assisting in audits as appropriate.

In order to expand individual knowledge and provide a more robust service to the Trust, you will be expected to code variety of speciality to increase your in-depth knowledge.

You will be expected to promote continuous improvement in data quality by keeping abreast of development and innovations in the medical, surgical, and coding disciplines. This role forms a key member of the data quality team which aims to provide credible, accurate, complete, and timely data for the Trust.

To answer Clinical Commissioning Group challenges in code assignment in a timely manner.

To act as mentor to less experienced coding staff in understanding clinical coding rules. PbR and HRG (Healthcare Resource Groups), therefore having a sound knowledge of these processes themselves.

To be proficient in the Trust’s many IT systems, including iPM, Medicode360, ICE, Clinical Correspondence, MediViewer (for ERDMS) and the Clinical Income Dashboard system.

To access the Trust histopathological database (ICE) to extract the relevant information when assigning appropriate clinical codes.

This Senior Social Worker position is in Social Work services at the Bedford Healthcare Systems located at the Bedford Massachusetts location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.

The Senior Social Worker serves as the Women's Health Senior Social Worker functions at an independent level that is supportive and contributes to the overall functioning of the Women Veterans Program and Women Veteran's Program Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supports consults and service requests, identifies, screens, and refers veterans for additional services;
• Provides women's health social work training to staff regarding women Veteran care needs and the Women Veterans program;

• Utilizes and has a high level of skill in Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), motivational interviewing, and treating complicated issues with evidenced based frameworks including psychosocial problems, chronic medical or mental illness as it relates to women's health;
• Works within the interdisciplinary team and with the veteran to develop, plan, implement, evaluate the interdisciplinary treatment plan;
• Provides care within the treatment plan, and coordinates with the veteran and the team to promote the continuity of care with veteran who may be experiences a heightened level of risk based upon factors;

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Decision Support Analyst to join and lead our Decision Support team.

Our Decision Support Team are responsible for providing analysis and other management information to decision makers/stakeholders across all business areas, allowing leaders from all functions to make informed business decisions.

As Senior Decision Support Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the business' growth through delivering timely, accurate and insightful data and MI products and services.

This role supports the business in delivering against industry KPI's. It's a role that really allows you to understand how the business works and what makes it successful. The reporting and analysis performed by the decision support team is essential in ensuring Copart continues to succeed, by having the right data and MI at the right time.

You must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, to deliver accurate and insightful information across the business

Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing data and MI to support and guide decision making with scheduled and ad-hoc reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Developing solutions to improve the delivery and consistency of data and MI
• Reviewing and auditing data to ensure it is correct; raising issues and areas for action as required.
• Completing ad-hoc requests for data from across the business
• Providing input and support in the development, testing and implementation of new and enhanced reporting systems

What we need from you:

Essential

• Advanced SQL skills
• Advanced Excel skills to manipulate, manage, analyse and present data, including knowledge and experience with pivot tables, macros and Excel functions (such as VLOOKUPS, INDEX, MATCH, COUNTIF, IF)
• Knowledge of Tableau/Salesforce
• Business partnering skills
• Capable of producing, explaining and presenting accurate dashboards, reports and other outputs (tables, charts, slides etc.) in an accurate, user-friendly and consistent manner, with good presentation.
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to apply these to a broad range of commercial issues
• Planning, co-ordination and organizational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
• Good communication skills, confident working with all levels across the business.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Desirable

• Commercial modelling experience
• Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting and periodic reporting
• Undergraduate degree, first time passes in accountancy exams and/or good A levels or A level equivalents

About Hamberley
The award-winning Hamberley Care Group is changing the way that elderly care is delivered through our luxury homes across the UK. Fast-growing and innovative, we’re opening three new homes in 2023. The Senior Clinical Fellow will be expected to cover the Vascular and General surgical unit at middle grade (registrar) level. On call he/she will be supported by an FY1 and either an FY2 or a CT trainee and will answer to the on-call consultant. On call they will be required to cover the specialities of General Surgery, Vascular and Urology and in turn will be covered by the respective consultants in those specialities. The post-holder must respond promptly to calls from A&E and the wards (medical and surgical) to give advice and/or see and manage patients. They would be expected to see urgent and emergency referrals from other disciplines/wards within the hospital. He/she must confer with the consultant on call and keep a record of such patients in the admission diary so that the patients could be appropriately followed up. The Senior Clinical Fellow will keep an accurate and meticulous record in patients case notes and will supervise junior medical staff to do so. All entries in the case notes should be signed (with time, date and contact number). In addition he/she will provide clinical supervision and support to the junior medical staff. They must keep accurate record of emergency admissions and referrals and formally handover to the on call team at the end of their shift. Handover must be formal, should follow the SBAR pattern (Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation) Similarly they must make sure that they have understood the patients problems and needs when receiving handover from somebody else. They will supervise juniors in writing comprehensive but succinct discharge letters and summaries. They must ensure that VTE prophylaxis assessment is undertaken and that prophylaxis is given. They must supervise, guide and teach junior members of the team in such skills as time management and team working. The Senior Clinical fellow will be expected to participate in departmental academic activities and audit of mortality and morbidity.

This is a 12 month post. The duties of the post will be comparable to those undertaken by a year three Specialty Registrar. However, in exceptional circumstances you may be required to vary these at the direction of the on call surgeon and with an agreement of the Surgical Tutor.



You will participate in the registrar on call rota.



This post does not carry thePostgraduate Dean’s approval for training. Study leave and budget will be made available in line with the trust regulations. Work timetable can be negotiated to facilitate post-holders educational needs or commitments. The successful candidates will be able to discuss their career aims and progression with the surgical tutor. They will be encouraged to keep a record of their competencies and training.

The successful applicant will be placed in any of the following Surgical Specialities and may have the opportunity to switch at 6 months into another Surgical Speciality:

- General Surgery (Upper Gi)

- Vascular

- Colorectal

Duties will include, daily assessment / ward round of in patients, supervision of junior members of the team, with regards to in patient management, attendance at outpatients clinics and operating lists, attendance on other departmental activities e.g. MDT surgical teaching, Audit M& M meetings. The applicant will participate in the on call rota.
