Job Summary

The post holder will work as part of the Residential Team at Ferndale Children’s Services delivering high quality residential care to children and young people who require to be looked after away from home.

The post holder will also be required to undertake Outreach work in the community, this will involve supporting young people and their families while they remain at home. The post holder will have responsibilities in co-ordinating outreach work.

The post holder will have supervisory responsibilities over staff and will support and assist the manager in leading the team.

The post holder will work in partnership with families, social workers, education and health to support children and young people to promote welfare and development and achieve best outcomes in line with ‘Getting It Right For Every Child’ and the SHANARRI principles.

The post holder will contribute to the continuous achievements and improvements of Ferndale Children’s Services and Ferndale Outreach Service, participate in all inspections and deliver practice of a high standard.

There is a flexible 5/7 working rota which is planned to ensure consideration of holidays, training and outings. There is a requirement to cover day, evening, nightshift and sleepover duties during emergencies plus support the out of hours on call rota in conjunction with the senior and management team. There is also occasional requirement to work out with core daily hours or weekends dependent on the requirements of the service.

The successful candidate will hold a professional Social Work qualification at SVQ4 and/or equivalent relevant experience and commitment to undertake required qualification and any future qualification requirements as determined by SSSC. The candidate should also have HNC in Social Care or equivalent qualifications and SVQ3.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Justice team based at Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch as Senior Practitioner with Treatment Manager responsibilities. This post is being recruited to cover a period of maternity leave. The post holder will support and assist the Team Manager with the day-to-day operation and management of the team to ensure the effective and safe provision of a range of social work services to customers which will maximise individual and community safety and promote individual responsibility, capacity and potential. You will understand the importance of relational practice have personal qualities, professional skills and knowledge which will be applied and tested in all aspects of service delivery within a busy justice team.

A key function is to undertake a Treatment Management role with regards to accredited programme interventions for individuals convicted of sexual offences. Experience and training with regards to accredited interventions is therefore essential. As the experience of managing complex cases.

The post holder will additionally manage Justice Throughcare Licences and Community Payback Orders, which will adopt a relational approach while undertaking appropriate assessments, case management, recording and monitoring work using electronic case recording systems such as ViSOR and Carefirst. The service has a critical role in public protection and work will include managing those presenting a risk of serious harm. On occasion you therefore maybe required to assist prison based social work to this end.

It is essential that you are ground in a rights based approach and committed to social work values and have effective interpersonal, communication, assessment and writing skills; be able to work as part of a team and on a multi-agency basis. Experience of managing cases with a range of complex issues is essential. As is experience of writing reports for the Courts and the Parole Board. Trained in risk assessment tools such as LSCMI (including ROSH), SA07, SARA and RM2000 is central to this role. .

The post holder will need to develop a close working relationship with the Chair and Chief Executive, agreeing processes and workload management. This is a full time vacancy (37.5 hours per week) for an initial 12 month period, that broadly needs to cover office hours (Monday to Friday), with some element of flexible working. Job Summary

As a senior lighting Technician for East Dunbarton Council the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team who undertake the design of new and upgrading projects to LED through the capital works program, they will oversee and address any complaints and enquiries through the LMMS system ensuring the operational staff have the required tools, stock and equipment to undertake the works safely and within budgets.

The senior lighting technician will oversee and approve the designs of all new works and review any new housing development applications received from the council’s development team and other stakeholders, providing technical information and ensuring the response is timeously actioned and ensuring the design is compliant to the required standards.

Ensuring the team also undertake scheduled routine inspections and compliance testing as well as planning and programming of external works ie Christmas decoration installation and removals.

The Senior Day Services Officer post is based in our Outlook Day Service that provides direct support to individuals who have learning disabilities and/or autism to engage in meaningful daytime activities in the community or in a building base. The successful candidate will require to provide leadership and support in the provision of a person centred approach for individual service users as well as in assessment of individual needs. They will also provide staff with professional support, guidance and supervision, and participate and contribute to the writing of strategic plans.

Previous experience of working in Adult Day Services is required. At least two years previous experience in social care would be required.
