Legal, Compliance & Audit
Bridgestone Americas is looking for a contract manager to support our Mobility Solutions (BMS) and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) groups. In this role you will provide legal support to our Emerging Businesses units, and help provide transactional legal services and legal/business advice and strategy to all of the divisions of BMS and to the Enterprise Strategy Office. The role will be based at our Nashville, TN headquarters working a hybrid schedule.
- Serve as a first point of contact for the Sustainability, BMS and M&A groups, helping to resolve and/or escalate legal issues as needed.
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of non-standardized statements of work (SOW) and standard company agreements, such as: professional services agreements, vendor-facing contracts, nondisclosure agreements, sales agreements, etc.
- Interpret contract terms and conditions, and advise clients on contract obligations, remedies, and solutions.
- Evaluate, and consult on, the needs and goals of clients with respect to a variety of issues, helping to identify risk and prepare practical and creative solutions for achieving goals while minimizing risk.
- Maintain form libraries for supported legal department groups.
- Maintain a large and fluctuating number of matters/projects.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience in analyzing drafting, reviewing, negotiating and maintaining contracts.
- Prior experience in some type of legal software.
- Prior experience in M&A and NDA’s.
