Senior Software Engineer

The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop quality software across a range of projects, operating systems and development environments, as well as providing support, leadership and guidance to the wider team.
You will work as part of a diverse team of specialists, designing, coding, testing, configuring and supporting fully integrated software solutions that meet customer needs and our own high standards.
You will work closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers and Architects to support the development and review of functional design specifications, high-level system architectures and interface designs.
You will Contribute to scrum teams, attending project reviews and ensuring work adheres to established software engineering processes and methodologies
Supporting, encouraging and sharing knowledge with other team members.
About you
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a passion and motivation to develop their skills and capability in software engineering. You will possess experience in software programming, Java/C++, supporting by strong design principles. You will possess a deep understanding of configuration management, change control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, as well as a passion for producing clean code
In addition any of the following would be beneficial, but not essential:
Spring, Camel, JPA, Sencha, JavaScript
Web services design and development
Agile methodologies, i.e. SCRUM
Luciad or ESRI
Continuous integration and automated test tools
HCI/Ux design
Military software development
Experience of relational databases and SQL
