This role is to give personal assistance to a lady in her early 50's who needs help to live independently. She requires help with personal care, including styling her hair as well as doing household cleaning and cooking meals.

She is looking for someone who can live in with her over a 24 - 48 hour shifts but is willing to discuss other options. A typical shift is 8pm from one day through to 8pm the following night but this can be discussed if necessary.

Your role is to ensure she has all the assistance she requires with living her life day to day in her own home. You may also be required to accompany her on any outside activities.

You will need to be able to cook meals and prepare snacks as well as ensuring her home is clean and tidy, this also includes the laundry is washed, dried and put away ready for her use.

During the night she may wake and need to be turned or made more comfortable.

There needs to be some flexibility as somethings do not always go to plan and she can not be left without care.

She is a kind and caring lady to work for and is lovely to talk to.

ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus asaSeniorCare Assistant will be tosupport and work alongside the Care team todeliverhigh standardsof personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive,andinclusive environmentfor residents,visitorsand staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supportingresidents with their medication requirements. Undertakingstaff supervisions and supportingstaff with their development whererequired. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
