We are looking for an ambitious self-starter with excellent communication & organisational skills and some previous project/event management experience.

You will build local relationships with businesses & community groups as well as organise and deliver fundraising events throughout the year. Project managing our annual Mission Christmas campaign in the Sheffield region is a major part of this role.

You will feel comfortable establishing relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally via networking (both in-person & virtually) and be an important brand ambassador for the charity in the local area.

Whilst primarily working in the Sheffield area, you will also be required to work on Yorkshire wide projects where necessary.

Working closely with our colleagues in both the radio & publishing divisions of Bauer, we fundraise all year round to enable us to award grants to help those most in need.

In this role you will be expected to work at Home, in the office and in the field. The office location is in Sheffield.


Key Responsibilities

Building & maintaining relationships is central to everything that we do at Cash for Kids. Whether that is internally with our Bauer Media colleagues, with our Cash for Kids team across the country or externally with local businesses, community groups, individual fundraisers or the beneficiaries whom we support.
As our Charity Fundraising Executive you’ll be building new relationships and developing existing ones across Sheffield.

You’ll be responsible for;


- Assisting the Regional Charity Manager with the day to day running of the charity, performing key administrative & financial tasks (including banking procedures, recording all financial transactions, chasing outstanding donations) and assisting with the grant applications process.
- Developing & delivering fundraising campaigns & events.
- Seeking out new partnership opportunities with local businesses, schools, universities and community groups.
- Developing & building existing partnerships & maintaining strong communication with fundraisers.
- Planning and delivering our biggest campaign of the year – Mission Christmas. This will challenge your organisational, logistical & relationship skills to the maximum.
- Ensuring that Cash for Kids remains ‘front of mind’ and an integral part of the Bauer Media business locally.
- Making Cash for Kids famous in the area by seeking out media partner & influencer partnership opportunities.

This generic job description outlines the primary role and responsibilities of a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Support Worker will be expected to : To work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse/ operating department practitioner according to delegated role. Contribute to the effective running of the department by answering and relaying telephone messages and any other enquires accordingly. Carry out all duties in a professional, compassionate and courteous manner. Demonstrate own duties to new or less experienced staff members and when delegated carry out training and assessments of their level of competence. Ensure that no action or omission on your part is detrimental to the condition, safety, wellbeing and interest of the patients and families. To assist qualified nurses and ODPs in the delivery of individualised care to children whilst in Theatre. To assist the qualified nurse/ODP in the advocacy of anaesthetised patients. To be aware of and adhere to the Trusts policies and procedures. Order and maintain clinical supplies as delegated through communication with the theatres supply team. Accurately record patient and theatre information using both paper and computerised systems. Undertake moderate physical effort on frequent occasions during a shift. Eg moving and handling patients, supplies and equipment. Assist in maintaining a clean and appropriate working environment for clinical procedures and non-clinical areas. Maintaining effective infection control in all areas. Cope with emotional demands of working directly with children and families involved in traumatic and distressing situations. E.g. unexpected injury/illness, child abuse and challenging behaviour. Cope with unexpected death, supporting other staff members and bereaved families. To have daily exposure to blood and bodily fluids. . Personal Responsibilities Promoting dignity and respect for all patients , families and colleagues Demonstrating an understanding of your personal accountability and responsibility within your everyday role To maintain confidentiality of information regarding children/young adults at all times. To have an appropriate level of safeguarding training and know how to escalate any safeguarding concerns Contribute to the development of the clinical area through contribution of new ideas to improve the patients care and experience Whilst in post, receive training and undertake and complete designated competency packages in skills appropriate to area and maintain that competence Communicate and liaise effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team both verbally, written and electronically. Maintain a personal record that demonstrates continuous development for annual personal development review. We are currently looking to add a Senior Support Worker to our team in Sheffield. Our service provides support to people with learning disabilities and mental health needs, living in supported living services across the city.

This is a fantastic network of services which enables great outcomes for the people we support.

Senior Support Worker Duties:

- Day-to-day coordination of person centred services with the target to meet the needs of the service users
- Supporting the management team to continuously improve and develop appropriate support plans in full consultation with our service users and other agencies
- Collaborating with service users, families, and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service that meets the needs of service users
- Communicating well with our service users, their families and all stakeholders
- Supervise and guide our staff team to deliver a consistently responsive and personalised service
- Great time management to be able to provide support across several locations.

The Registered Office is based in Intake, South East Sheffield and is close to the tram network and good bus routes. Services are based locally to the Registered Office.
Experience is essential for this role, as it the ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard in a positive behavioural support setting.
You will be expected to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the services, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
