Job Description

Manage and lead the educational establishment/s to the benefit of the children and wider community in compliance with relevant legislation and policy and guidance issued by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, Children and Young Person’s Service Plan and Best Value.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

The Individual

This is a permanent full time post based within Logan Primary School, Cumnock.

The hours of work are 35 Hours per week to be worked at the direction of the line manager.

The full time salary of the post is £70,116 per annum.

• Managing the merchandising operation and store space allocations programs for the store.
• Managing the Not-In-Stock (NIS) listing and working with appropriate personnel to correct deficiencies.
• Monitoring commissary ordering, receiving, storage, stocking, pricing, handling, and selling of commissary products.
• Inspecting all commissary store equipment, reporting required maintenance to proper section for resolution.
• Inspecting shelf merchandise for product deterioration, spoilage, or deficiency.
• Pulling all chill and frozen product pallets to be stocked and staging them during primary stocking hours.
• Supervising department employees, assigning work, and balancing workload.
• Serving as a visitor control monitor during night operations.
• Enforcing all safety rules and regulations.

Work conditions:

• Most of the work is performed in the store display area which is well lighted and maintained at a comfortable temperature.
• When working in the storage or receiving area, may be exposed to hot or cold weather, or damp and drafty conditions.
• May be exposed to differences in temperature when storing or obtaining items from chill or frozen storage rooms.
• There is a danger of minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, bruises, and slipping on wet floors.
• May, on occasion, be required to operate a manual or electric pallet jack and/or a forklift.
• Must be able to wear any and all protective clothing provided.

Starting at $54,292 Per Year (GS 8)

• You will serve as the Level I IPT lead for the Contracted Air Services (CAS) program.
• You will plan, execute, and manage training and evaluation support initiatives, ensuring alignment with Navy and Marine Corps mission objectives.
• You will oversee budgeting and resource allocation for CAS activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to fiscal guidelines.
• You will provide briefings and reports to key interface groups, synthesizing fleet requirements into actionable products and services.

Starting at $122,109 Per Year (NH 4)

• You will pass on instructions received from supervisors to workers assigned.
• You will instruct pipefitter mechanics, workers, helpers and ship's force personnel in the skills of the trade.
• You will maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives.
