The post holder will coordinate, deliver and manage the provision of medical devices training for the Trust and work collaboratively with other departments to improve safety standards.

The post holder will provide competent support, guidance and advice to all teams across the Trust on the management of medical devices.

· To manage, lead and design Trust wide programmes to address training and competency, working collaboratively with all staff groups to evaluate and assess the efficacy of training programmes making necessary adjustments to facilitate high quality training in the safe use of medical devices.

· To formulate and develop long term strategies, policies and procedures to underpin and facilitate the implementation of device training for all staff groups.

· Use specialist knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements to provide direction, guidance and support to organisational teams to ensure their workplaces are compliant with safe use and promoting continual improvement in their management of medical devices.

· To develop, monitor and evaluate appropriate policies and guidelines relating to the safe use of medical devices

About the role

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Facility Manager and the Regional Safety Manager, the Safety Manager role will span strategic, tactical, and transformational safety and health management activities.  In addition to managing the facility’s safety program, the Safety Manager will oversee the employee training program and assist with the daily execution of the facility safety and health activities. The Safety Manager will also be called upon to contribute to the broader facility management team and provide leadership to process improvement and best practice deployment, demonstrating the right values and behaviors with high emotional intelligence in working with a disbursed stakeholder base, often on critical schedule projects.  You may be asked to help mentor or assist other Safety Program Managers at other locations or to help develop and implement corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively lead in the management of the facility’s health and safety programs, processes, and policies.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, maintain facility safety records, compliance with Covanta safety program requirements, and OSHA VPP efforts.
• Implement, motivate, educate, and enforce Covanta’s safety and health policies.
• Manage the safety training program and ensure training is completed on applicable safety bulletins, memos, Safety Alerts, safety, and health procedures/programs, etc.
• With facility management, oversee contractor safety and health performance.  Ensure contractors are properly trained, use appropriate tools and equipment.
• Continually monitor the performance and effectiveness of the facility safety program and implement adjustments and improvements as needed.
• Actively monitor work safety in the field on a very frequent basis.  Conduct formal and informal safety reviews and follow-up reporting.  When necessary, stop potential unsafe behaviors in the field when observed and coach employees on the proper method.  Also provide positive recognition for safe behaviors.
• Work with plant personnel to secure accident scenes when appropriate, ensure the medical treatment of affected employee and/or contract employee, and investigate near miss, first aid, recordable injuries, on site vehicle incidents or incidents related to plant vehicles, and general safety concerns.  Assist/Coordinate recommendations for corrective actions and track to completion.  Manage accident investigations, root cause analyses, and related reporting.
• Work with plant personnel and contractors to ensure fire system inspection, testing, and functionality.
• Primary contact with the plant’s health clinic.  Schedule annual physical exams, hearing tests, and/or respirator evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in a safety and health or science-related area)
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926, or related state safety and health regulations in a Power Plant, Waste to Energy, Industrial or related field.
• 3 to 5 years Safety Experience as a leader
• 5 years Occupational Health and Safety experience in a Power Plant or related field experience to include knowledge of operations and maintenance in an industrial/power plant environment.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Geospatial Operations Manager will lead the production and incorporation of GIS data into CoStar’s market leading real estate research products. This individual will manage a team of analysts who create and maintain CoStar’s spatial data, ensuring accurate capture and timely distribution of that data. They will work closely with product stakeholders to develop project specifications and develop GIS solutions that meet customer needs. If you are passionate about GIS data and its many uses within Commercial Real Estate, this is a great way to build your career with CoStar Group!

The IT Project Management Consultant will be responsible for supporting DHA DAD IO/J-6 and their respective Branches. The Senior Consultant will support DHA in the implementation of an enterprise-wide execution of shared services in order to reduce cost and improve the performance. The candidate will lead the development of work products and deliverables; establish relationships with primary clients and stakeholders; and identify opportunities to improve processes. The candidate will also support business development across the MHS.

This will be a hybrid work environment.

What You Will Do:

• Plans, initiates, and manages information technology (IT) projects.

• Leads and guides the work of technical staff. - Serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

• Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage.

• Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.

• Applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments; assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

• Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

• Contributes to the development of work products and deliverables; manages recurring tasks and work products.

• Work with clients and team to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Experience with leading small teams, coaching and collaborating with colleagues, providing feedback and guidance on work performance.

• Assist with monthly Enterprise Management discussion sessions.

• Assist with managing and displaying PowerPoint presentation and record any open taskers/takeaways.

• Facilitate bi-weekly Enterprise Software Standardization meeting.

• Update and distribute Enterprise Software Standardization trackers

What You Will Need

• Bachelors Degree

• PMP Certification

• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical project management

• Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Tier 3 (T3) Security Clearance (Secret)

• Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office products and related applications.

• Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.

• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical and technical documents.

• Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs, actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents.

• Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

• Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.

The Engineering Operations Manager will be responsible for leading, designing and implementing engineering operational governance, process and procedures. May assist clients’ technical operations with designing and implementing a 24/7 Command and Control Monitoring services for all device endpoints. Responsible for providing recommendations on how to align short- and long-term engineering operational strategy, performance measures and fiscal impact.

You will have the following:

• Work and architect with multiple partners in a hybrid computing environment to ensure operational efficiencies across all platforms.
• Assess and plan for the organization’s future needs.
• Prepare governing principles and standards to guide future decision making pertinent to operational domain.
• Determine appropriate operational controls, tools and processes that supplement and enhance the organizations compute environment.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field my be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and 3 years relevant experience.
• 5 years’ experience in service management technologies in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Experience implementing and tracking service level or metrics reporting.
• Experience developing best practices for production support and governance.
• Experience overseeing operational management policies and procedures.
• Prior experience providing operational management and support across wide geographical area(s).
