Our very well established client in Bridgwater have an exciting opportunity for a Stores & Logistics Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

Summary of Position:
Through a persistent pursuit of excellence the Stores and Logistics Team Leader will accurately get their team to ensure the right part gets to the right place/person at the right time and in the right way. The role requires leadership of the stores team and area whilst delivering business improvements in the area of responsibility that conforms to a 5S standard and meets the HSE requirements of the business. Additional focus will be on the supply of parts to production and subcontractors as well as ownership of the export procedures and logistics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Motivating, coaching and leading the stores team.
• Packaging, documentation and transport for the global export of machines.
• Act as the custodian of all customer property within the business
• Control of all quarantined stock, ensuring timely resolution to issues.
• Proactively suggest, present and implement projects for business improvements.
• Reporting and delivering on KPIs for the area of responsibility.
• Maintain up to date calibration logs of all equipment and material handling equipment.
• Keep track of all company assets, their location, condition and usage.
• Achieve consistently high levels of stock accuracy across all warehouses and locations.
• Ensure stores and logistics procedures are correctly documented and followed.
• Assist with any goods in/out, stock take, works orders, assembly operations and kitting as required by the business.
• Proudly keep the stores area clean and organized to a 5S sustained standard that adheres with the health and safety procedures of the business.
• Support colleagues with any reasonable request that relates to stock in a way that is flexible and helpful.
• Willingly partake in wider company initiatives and provide constructive suggestions for improvements where possible.
• Facilitate an easy and well documented returns process for all sales and purchase returns.
• Take ownership of the HSE in stores and be a member of the HSE Management Team.
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
• Identify and report H&S issues to your H&S Manager Maintain a tidy stores area.
• Undertake Ad-Hoc projects as required by line manager.

Level 3 Childcare Qualification essential

As the Deputy Manager, you will help lead the staff to deliver and ensure all children receive quality care, help extend the child’s learning. Create, plan, and implement activities and experience which help support all aspects of the EYFS. You will be responsible for opening and closing the nursery and will be required to cover for the Manager in her absence.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:00am-18:30pm.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting and liaising with the Manager on a daily basis.

- Assisting the Manager in ensuring effective staff recruitment following Footsteps Day Nurseries recruitment procedures. Supervising staff and students, conducting regular staff assessments, recognising training needs, monitoring training and developing teamwork.

- Planning and preparing activities to develop all aspects of the child's individual development in a stimulating atmosphere, within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn
