• The ability to support, coach and develop others through effective leadership and coaching

Day to day you'll be;

• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the Business.
• Assessing and managing the impact of operational, quarterly releases and project change on the relevant systems and business processes.
• Providing support for live implementations.
• Supporting BAU through the investigation and resolution of system incidents and issues impacting the finance applications.
• Making use of Industry Best practice to suggests improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures.

What you'll need

• Experience in supporting Finance teams/function with the adoption of Strategic Oracle tooling.
• Ability to identify key issues, break down problems and establish facts.
• Energetic, tenacious in the achievement of goals and operates at pace. Has a 'can / will do' approach and must be prepared to be hands on.
• Possesses the flexibility and drive to support a changing, dynamic business. Looks for opportunities to simplify and improve within a changing environment. Communicates and explains change effectively.
• Experience in complex finance systems and change methodology preferred. Exhibits high level of curiosity around technology, markets, and the business area.
• A qualified accountant or qualified by experience in a Finance environment.

An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Street Lighting Team for the post of Approved Electrician, based at Bankhead Depot.

The post is a key position within the Roads and Infrastructure function of Operational Services.

Supporting the effective delivery of the Council’s Street Lighting service, the Approved Electrician will maintain the Council’s street lighting assets.

Our client is a leading refurbishment company with a very impressive track record in the delivery of high-profile refurbishment projects in Edinburgh and beyond. They have ambitious plans for growth in Edinburgh over the next 3 to 5 years and this is supported by an impressive existing pipeline of work. As their team grows, they are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to their business to run a large refurbishment project (£11million) in the middle of Edinburgh.

Your new role
As Project Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Construction director, and you will be fully responsible for the delivery of this project from setting up site to final handover. You will be the operational lead on this project, managing your site team effectively while liaising effectively with your commercial team, ensuring the project is hitting its operational and financial targets. You will also be expected to work closely with a set of external stakeholders such as client reps, architects etc.


What you'll need to succeed
Our client is seeking a construction expert with a strong background in complex refurbishment projects in a city centre environment. Perhaps you have worked extensively as a Project Manager on large refurbishments already and are seeking your next project, but our client is also open to considering applications from experienced Site Managers seeking to step up into a Project Management position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing positive site teams on-site and understand how to develop exceptional relationships with your supply chain, direct labour force and other stakeholders. You are ambitious and are seeking to take on more responsibility for a growing business with significant opportunities for development.
