Utilising any opportunities for benefits realisation from Agenda for Change i.e. role redesign; In conjunction with the Clinical Director, ensure a review of Consultant job plans and appraisals are carried out on an annual basis and that all job plans are consistent with service delivery and recorded electronically; In conjunction with the clinical director and consultants, ensure that all rotas for doctors in training are European working time compliant, electronic diary carding exercises take place regularly and where necessary take steps to adjust the rota so it remains compliant; Ensure that all Consultants, Trust, Training and temporary Locum Doctors (via their agency) in the SBU are fully aware of their obligations and adhere to the Trusts pre-employment, employment, professional registration and criminal records bureau clearances; Ensure that all Training Doctors rotating into the SBU undertake their clearances in respect of Human Resources, Occupational Health and CRB within the defined timeframes and in line with Trust policy; Lead by example with the Clinical Director to ensure that all Consultants, Trust and Training Doctors in the SBU achieve compliance in line with the Trusts statutory and mandatory training requirements;

This is an exciting time to join the Guildford and Waverley Frailty Academy Programme We are looking to recruit a project manager to be responsible for delivery of key specific projects as part of a wider frailty workforce development, training and education programme. This post is offered as a twelve month fixed term contract The Guildford and Waverley Frailty Academy was set up in 2021 by consultant geriatricians who recognised the need for everyone working with and/or caring for older people (whether paid or voluntary) to be trained in identifying frailty and helping people who have frailty to age well. We know that people living in Surrey can expect to enjoy a long life expectancy the average life expectancy is nearly 82 years for men and 85 years for women. In Guildford and Waverley there are more than 30,000 residents over the age of 65 years so it is more important than ever that we support people to age well by identifying frailty and managing frailty effectively. The Frailty Academy has developed a range of successful training opportunities aligned to the NHS Frailty Core Capabilities Framework. The Academy has now secured funding from the United Surrey Talent Fund to deliver an expanded programme of work across the Guildford and Waverley Alliance, including workforce development projects as well as training and education activities. The post holder will manage the planning, development, implementation and assurance of specific projects as part of this wider programme for frailty across the Guildford and Waverley Alliance. They will support the Chair of the Academy and the Frailty Academy Programme Manager in developing and delivering Tiers 1-3 of training aligned to the Frailty Core Capabilities Framework published through Health Education England. As our Housing Contracts Manager, you will have responsibility for managing staff delivering a range of housing investment and repair projects which will contribute to the delivery of our agreed investment priorities, maximising the performance of the housing stock and ensuring the delivery of value for money to the Council.

You will have a relevant Construction Project Management qualification, with previous housing experience including working with partners to develop/ implement investment strategies and initiatives, experience of direct contract management in a Local Authority or Housing Association setting relating to Void contract management and facilities lifecycle replacement contracts and experience of procuring contracts and evaluating tenders for project delivery.

Shepherd Neame is on the lookout for a Bar Team Leader with bundles of energy and enthusiasm to join us, so if you have experience of leading a team in a fast paced customer focused environment and you are looking to carve out your career in the hospitality industry; this may be just the job for you.

Guildford’s longest-running live music venue, the Star Inn brings together beautiful beer and brilliant bands for one of the best pub experiences in town. The 16th century pub has been entertaining the locals for more than 400 years - showcasing some excellent acts including the Stranglers, who performed their first ever gig here. With a real fire, an intimate courtyard garden and three floors full of snug and cosy corners, this is one of the best pubs in Guildford.

At Shepherd Neame we know that first impressions count, so as an ambassador for our brand, this role will see you supporting the management team, undertaking duty manager shifts and responsibilities and you will lead and develop our team to deliver an excellent level of service to our customers at every opportunity.

If you haven’t got any previous hospitality experience please do not worry, so long as that you possess some of the qualities outlined below, we can train you and teach you everything else that you will need to know.
