Your Responsibilities
- Administer and process Choice’s Stock Plan partnering with relevant internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Serve as a key player during the annual merit, incentive, and Board Reporting cycles by providing timely analytics and tracking to budgets and timelines.
- Proactively bring up areas for improvement to address business needs and efficiencies.
- Document and track changes as needed, while ensuring input and buy-in from relevant teams.
- Assist in preparing executive compensation data for proxy and annual reports, as well as other ongoing disclosures.
- Keep abreast of new industry trends and ensure compensation and equity programs are consistent with market best practice, corporate initiatives, and internal philosophy.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or another relevant discipline required
- At least 5 years’ experience working in Equity Administration, Compensation, Consulting, Finance or Analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Demonstrates the key competencies: Building Networks, Managing Complexity, and Optimizing Work Processes.
- Detail orientation, as well as strong communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in using Workday and Microsoft Access a plus.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Director, Global Compensation. You will have to work closely with other Choice associates, including senior management. You collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis, including HR, Payroll, Legal and Finance.
Your Work Location
As our Compensation & Equity Manager, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
