5G and NextG Lab Project Manager
The Opportunity:
Engineering development labs are where the magic happens for emerging technology. It is where the theoretical paper-based idea meets the reality of – will this work? We are seeking a highly engaging and motivated project manager accustomed to working with technical teams to join us to oversee the day-to-day operations of the 5G Lab and drive new business opportunities for its use. You’ll move quickly in an exciting and fluid environment to lead the Agile development of a roadmap, establish project milestones, and implement metrics to track progress, while bringing people together to make a tangible difference.

You Have:
- Experience in effective leadership and project management including cost – capital and non-capital expenditures, schedule, scope, vendors, and SLAs
- Knowledge of 4G/5G or cloud-based networks and the end user equipment ecosystem
- Ability to organize and lead teams, including internal design and operations staff, external partners and technical consultants
- Ability to lead teams through network upgrades and patching
- Ability and interest to “sell” the 5G lab through presentations, tours, and marketing
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in project management, IT, or an engineering field, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in project management, IT, or an engineering field
- PMP Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with wireless networks, public and private 4G/5G networks such as Nokia, Ericsson, CISCO, or JMA
- Experience with giving tours showcasing capabilities and demonstrations
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, firewalls, Kubernetes, virtualization, Linux, PKI
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred; Master’s degree in Business Administration a plus
- Top Secret clearance a plus
- CCNA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
