Position Summary

This is the intermediate level of the VM classification hierarchy. Employees at this level have responsibility for contractor management and oversight with general supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. Manages IVM programs including multi circuit planned maintenance, system level herbicide applications, reactive customer requested work and hazard tree programs to drive overall program strategy of improved customer reliability and regulatory compliance as applicable Strategic focus:

Responsibilities

Work with System Forester and Manager to assure that work plan is in compliance with Federal and Stated T&D vegetation management standards and regulatory requirements.
• General Contract Management Monitor the performance of contract resources to assure safe work practices, vegetation management procedures/standards adherence, and productivity consistent with Duke Energy Expectations. Lead role for area VM crews during emergency storm operations. Works independently on complex issues. Applying advanced knowledge and problem solving skills to wide-ranging issues. Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
• Customer Relations (Internal and External)This positions responds to customer and community concerns associated with our VM and Herbicide Programs. Responsible for the development of communication plans with key stakeholders associated with VM projects.
• Governmental/Community Relations Works with government agencies, including DOT and Environmental to ensure compliance with appropriate state and federal regulations and pro-active communications of area vegetation management plans and procedures to community stakeholders.
• Work Plans Monitor respective Transmission or Distribution Maintenance Area vegetation management work plan and budget by inspecting/reporting work plan completion progress, reviewing/approving invoices for contractor work, monitoring unit costs, and adjusting work plans and expenditures as necessary.
• Inspections/Patrols Perform regular patrols of Transmission or Distribution rights-of-way to identify issues that would potentially impact the safe and reliable operation of the line.

Job Description

Support the Development Director and Executive Director in developing and managing the site fundraising portfolio to raise a minimum of $1.1 million (meeting quarterly revenue and collections goals) from private revenue sources:

• Researching, writing, and creating proposals, letters, presentations, marketing collateral, and reports for existing and potential individual funders; make dynamic presentations to same audiences.
• Broadening donor base by researching, identifying, and cultivating new donors; ensuring diversity and sustainability.
• Stewarding and fulfilling donor intent by learning and understanding their philanthropic mission and working with them to determine the best sponsorship opportunities possible; providing superior recognition and benefits based on gift agreement.
• Supporting the execution of site-wide events (Opening Day, 18-Minute Networking, Graduation, etc.) that cultivate and steward donors at all levels.
   

Begin cultivating and securing investment from our donor base by developing and implementing a new Small Giving Circle initiative with the Development Director and Executive Director:

• Working with our champions to identify and cultivate new prospects and funds in the Central Florida area.

What does the Merchandise Manager do?

Under the leadership of the Store Manager, directly leads the Freight team, and all associates of the store while the Manager on Duty. The Merchandise Manager (MM) is responsible for executing merchandising standards throughout the store. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all associates and managers are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers
• Responsible for achieving CSAT score goals provided by the District Manager
• Responsible for leading Front End Operations
• Training the staff on the High Fives of Customer Service
• Ensures that each guest has a fast, friendly, checkout
• Responsible for maintaining the store cleanliness, recovery, and ready for customers at all times
• Responsible for opening and closing store procedures
• Responsible for performing SM duties in their absence
• Assists in supervising all Associates
• Assists in training all Associates
• Assists in coaching all Associates

• Reviews all corporate communications and reacts accordingly
• Partners with supervisors or corporate office regarding store issues
• Drives store sales and controls expenses
• Drives store sales which may include performing in all Five Below services (ear piercing, balloons, buy online pick up in store, etc.)
• Uses financial reporting to drive business opportunities
• Assists payroll process and ensures budget is in line with plan
• Assists in merchandising procedures
• Adheres to and holds associates accountable to all Five Below’s Standard Operating Procedures(SOP)
• Responsible for cash handling procedures including but not limited to preparing and dropping bank deposits
• Authorizes register functions including post voids, returns and discounts
• Complies with Human Resources policies and procedures
• Assists in receiving and stocking procedures

• Unloads merchandise from trucks
• Checks in shipments
• Stages merchandise for the sales floor
• Packs out merchandise
• Responsible for ensuring Candy, Crafts, and Sports Worlds are set and maintained to Brand Standards
• Accountable for driving Key Metrics: Sales, ADS, CSAT Scores, and Expense Control
• Performs store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Review and interpret legal documents daily to ensure accurate update of various client databases.
• Coordinate import of client data files and maintain official court registers.
• Coordinate with clients and internal staff to ensure timely processing of claims, effectuation of service of notices and pleadings, and filing of related affidavits of service by required deadlines.
• Assess, understand and prioritize client goals to ensure completion of requested tasks and production of deliverables by stated deadlines.
• Ensure that all work is checked for quality, accuracy and completeness and that problems identified are resolved appropriately.
• Respond to creditor and client inquiries and complete research and follow up necessary to respond in a prompt and professional manner to ensure client satisfaction and timely production of deliverables.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the head of Analytics Engineering this person will collaborate with data scientists, reporting/data visualization specialists, business, marketing teams all working together to identify requirements that will derive the creation of data pipelines and other data products. You will work closely with Pfizer’s Digital team to understand the architecture and internal APIs involved in upcoming and ongoing projects. We are seeking an outstanding person to play a pivotal role in helping the analysts & business users make decisions using data and visualizations. You will partner with key partners across the business, data science & marketing teams as you design and build query friendly data structures.

•   Translate business requirements by business team into data and engineering specifications

•   Build scalable data sets based on specifications from the available raw data and derive business metrics/insights

•   Understand and Identify server APIs that needs to be instrumented for data analytics and align events for execution in already established data pipelines

•   Explore and understand sophisticated data sets, identify and formulate correlational rules between heterogenous sources for effective analytics and reporting

•   Process, clean and validate the integrity of data used for analysis

•   Develop Python and Shell Scripts for data ingestion and stitching from external data sources for business insights

•   Partner with data scientists to build scalable modeling features pipeline

•   Work closely with analytics and data science teams to develop robust data pipeline and analytics visualization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience OR Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience OR PhD with 2+ years of experience

• Degree preferably in engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field.

•  Relevant professional experience with Big Data systems, pipelines and data processing

•  Preferred experience in Applied Econometrics, Statistics, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field

•  Practical hands-on experience with technologies like Apache Hadoop, Apache Pig, Apache Hive, Apache Sqoop & Apache Spark

•  Experience working in Dataiku is a plus but not required

•  Ability to understand API Specs, identify relevant API calls , extract data and implement data pipelines & SQL-friendly data structures

•  Identify Data Validation rules and alerts based on data publishing specifications for data integrity and anomaly detection

•  Understanding on various distributed file formats such as Apache AVRO, Apache Parquet and common methods in data transformation

•  Expertise in Python, Unix Shell scripting and Dependency driven job schedulers

•  Expertise in Core JAVA, Oracle, Teradata and ANSI SQL

•  Familiarity with rule based tools and APIs for multi stage data correlation on large data sets is a plus!

• Drives store sales and controls expenses
• Drives store sales which may include performing in all Five Below services (ear piercing, balloons, buy online pick up in store, etc.)

• Accountable for driving Key Metrics: Sales, ADS, CSAT Scores, and Expense Control
• Performs store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
• Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Creative thinking
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure

What does the Merchandise Manager do?

Under the leadership of the Store Manager, directly leads the Freight team, and all associates of the store while the Manager on Duty. The Merchandise Manager (MM) is responsible for executing merchandising standards throughout the store. The Merchandise Manager is also responsible to “Wow the Customer”, operational controls, inventory integrity, asset protection, cleanliness, safety and driving sales.

• Ensures Merchandise Movement Process is flawlessly executed
• Responsible for merchandising, signing, and resets in Now, Style, Room, Tech, and Party
