The Role

You will role model first class relationship management, holding a portfolio of high profile relationships across partnerships and philanthropy, as well as managing your own team to set and deliver income targets, and contribute to goals for the future.

You will:

* Work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising - Philanthropy & Partnerships (ADoF - P&P), to lead and motivate the Partnerships & Philanthropy Team.

* Lead the creation of high-value fundraising strategies creating robust targets with their team to support restricted and unrestricted income targets, working closely with the Senior Managers across the Partnerships & Philanthropy team.

* Play an active role in operational planning, identifying opportunities to work across the organisation to champion and deliver best-in-class partnership working across the portfolio of philanthropic and corporate relationships

* Inspire and motivate your team, taking an active role in supporting their progress and professional development

About You

* Experience of fundraising, and the role and theory of fundraising through partnerships and/or philanthropic relationships

* Experience of securing significant partnerships of at least 6 figures from corporate partners, individuals or family foundations and managing relationships with major supporters

* The ability to work across multiple projects at one time, engaging colleagues and stakeholders at multiple levels

* Experience of working with senior staff and volunteers to achieve success

* Knowledge of the current philanthropy and High Net Worth Individual and/or corporate landscape and insight into future trends

Serco are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our team in Birmingham City Centre. The main purpose of the role is to manage, motivate and lead a small team of Participant Progression Job Coaches within Serco’s Restart Scheme delivery sites, under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager. Supporting the team to deliver consistently on their primary objectives; understanding the Participant and planning effectively to provide targeted support, delivering against their action plan to progress the Participant towards work, and supporting Participants into work. Nurturing and developing a team to create a culture of high performance, exceptional quality of service and high levels of compliance, optimising delivery across their sub-team of Job Coaches.

The Team Leader (Participant Progression) will be responsible for the effective performance management of the Job Coaches reporting directly to them. This includes ensuring that all actions are taken to deliver the required KPIs and Customer Service Standards as well as completing effective performance reviews with Participant Engagement Job Coaches, setting appropriate actions and assessing performance against all personal success measures.

Key Accountabilities

Lead and manage successful delivery of key Performance Indicators, SLA’s & Customer Service Standards by their assigned Participant Progression Job Coaches.

Lead a small team, setting and meeting challenging targets and providing effective performance management, including the proactive management of under-performance.

Support the Operations Manager with the development and continuous improvement of their delivery site.

-
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements across their team.

-
Promote development and training across their team, and address capability gaps to increase the overall performance of the team.

-
Understand system-generated reports and interpret contract performance data to ensure team effectiveness.

-
Identify and report on risks and issues as appropriate, supporting the Operations Manager with the resolution of operational and performance issues as they arise.

-
Encourage team members to commit to a practice of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practice among the Serco network.

-
Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of new Job Coaches.

-
Build effective and productive collaborative relationships with the wider Restart team based on three key factors for success: mutual trust and understanding, openness and excellent communications, and a joint approach to managing delivery.

Support the CPA with attendance at, and input to, the DWP’s Contract Performance Reviews.

-
Act as the first point of resolution within Serco’s complaints handling protocols, listening to participants’ complaints and identifying and facilitating solutions, or further escalating unresolved issues.

Undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required, commensurate with the level of responsibility within the area.




What I need to do the role?

Evidence of leadership & people management experience, ideally gained within the employability sector.

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification or experience).

The role is office based and may require travel between sites from time to time.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

We are looking to recruit a Curriculum Leader for Plumbing. The ideal candidate needs to be someone who is already working as a Lecturer in Plumbing but is now looking to take the next step to be involved in supporting the HOD to grow the provision as well as ensure the quality is maintained.

MAIN DUTIES

Teaching – The person appointed will be able to contribute to the teaching programme delivering the subject.
Preparation and Assessment – The person appointed will develop and produce teaching materials as required. The post holder will undertake assessment as required by the relevant scheme and keep accurate records. The person appointed will be required to support other lecturers in Plumbing to ensure they are producing relevant and appropriate teaching materials.
Administration - The person appointed will undertake administrative tasks relating to the programme(s) that they teach on and College requirements, under the guidance of the Head of Department.
Quality Systems – The post holder will undertake Internal Verification as required by the line manager. The College has a lesson observation process and all lecturers will have an observed lesson each academic year. The person appointed will be required to carry out informal lesson observations to support new lecturers in Plumbing.
Management – the person appointed will undertake Course Leadership/Management for out full time programmes at Leamington College and Rugby College under the guidance of the HOD.
o Major curriculum development and leadership.
o Extensive programme co-ordination / leadership and / or staff management/leadership.
Health and Safety – To ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, students and visitors in line with the HASAW Act and the College Health and Safety Policy.
Safeguarding – Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and whom you come into contact with.

In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties.The College will provide training.

In our determination to further develop both our service and responsiveness to local, regional and national industry we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work closely with the work based team to develop industrial links, provide pastoral support and workplace assessment within Construction Work Based Learning.

We are now seeking a motivated and organised individual who can liaise with both employers and learners to assess their competencies within the workplace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

✓ To help, guide and support students, following their initial enquiry and interview, to choose the right course of study.
✓ To work with the Course Managers and Training agencies, to help co-ordinate the placing and visiting of students in work placement, or employment positions with companies.
✓ To work with managing agents to ensure that students are placed in a safe and suitable work situation where work based training can be clearly identified.
✓ To attend career events, liaise with schools and work with managing agents, to promote recruitment for all automotive courses.
✓ To work with the Marketing teams and the Work Based Learning Management team to ensure that all existing and new courses are marketed and promoted in the best interests of the college.
✓ To represent the Work Based Learning Team in promotional activities.
✓ To support industry by setting up and promoting bespoke training to meet industry needs, when required.
✓ To mentor individual candidates and monitor their academic and vocational progress.
✓ To liaise with company and other assessors to ensure that each candidate as the range of opportunities required to their competence assessment.
✓ To carry out formal NVQ assessments.
✓ To monitor the quality of training delivered by all training sub-contractors.
✓ To carry out formal progress reviews with individuals and their employers.

DESIRABLE ATTAINMENTS

✓ A UK driving licence free of major endorsements.
