COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER | HIGH WYCOMBE
We’re looking for an incredible Commercial Finance Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in driving business growth and optimizing stakeholder satisfaction. This role demands a blend of commercial and financial acumen, data analytics, and project leadership. You’ll focus on maintaining high accounting standards and delivering comprehensive reporting and insight.
You’ll be pivotal in our Finance transformation strategy and lead projects such as process improvement while acting as a key advocate for data-driven decision-making.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Assume leadership of a dedicated team overseeing the accounting, reporting, and reconciliations for critical areas such as Gross Margin, Supplier Funding, and Customer Loyalty. You’ll also spearhead initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting through implementation of robust reporting and forecasting methodologies to maximize business insights.
· Develop a comprehensive understanding of profitability by SKU and other specific metrics, utilizing this knowledge to drive informed decision-making.
· Build strong relationships within Commercial, Customer and Operational teams, engaging with them to gain valuable insights into their specific data and process requirements.
· Take the lead in driving a more efficient and data-driven department. This involves implementing streamlined processes, leveraging automation for routine tasks, and fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making.
· Manage a team of 2 fostering a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for skill enhancement within the team and implementing relevant training programs.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
· You have a strong affinity for the commercial aspect of the business and enjoy the pace of retail, you enjoy leveraging data for strategic decision-making and are dedicated to improving existing processes through new tools and technologies.
· ACCA/CIMA Qualified or qualified by experience ideally Retail/FMCG.
· Proven experience managing a team in a commercial role, with strong team engagement and leadership skills.
· Experience in one or more top ERP systems, preferably Oracle Financials.
· You thrive in a hands-on role, where understanding the details is essential for delivering robust results.
· Strong proficiency in Excel.
