This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Research Development team in Keele University Directorate of Research, Innovation and Engagement (RIE). The Research Development Team supports researchers in identifying and responding to funding opportunities to support their research.
You will be part of the Research Development Team, within the Research and Innovation Support (RaISE) team, tasked with driving high-quality external funding applications and proactively supporting delivery of the University’s ambition to increase the quality and volume of its research and secure the funding to do so. You will support the Senior Research Development Managers in implementing the institutional Research and Innovation Strategy by providing high-quality support to academics in developing research funding proposals. You will provide proactive and reactive guidance on funding opportunities to stimulate research grant development. You will project manage the proposal development process, working closely and in a coordinated way with academic and professional services colleagues.
You will hold a degree and will have relevant experience in supporting development of research. You will also bring to the role a firm understanding of the landscape of research funding in the UK and excellent organisation and project management skills.
