As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing the business in order to increase revenue by identifying new sales leads, pitching the company's services and building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.

As the Business Development Manager, your duties will include:

• Developing new relationships with corporate clients
• Managing your portfolio of clients, with help from your account manager.
• Dealing with incoming warm leads provided by marketing campaigns.
• Attend meetings with existing and potential clients.
• Work with all aspects of the organisation to build pipeline, manage opportunities, win business.
• Make sales projections and forecast revenue.
• Host hospitality evenings and lunches for clients and potential clients.

Although primarily working in the Cwmbran office you will have national coverage that often requires visits and hosting hospitality events which can include an overnight stay.

A fantastic package includes £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience) plus 3% of book value, pension, a great monthly commission structure, company phone and laptop, paid mileage, yearly salary review, yearly bonus based on company performance.

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Research Development team in Keele University Directorate of Research, Innovation and Engagement (RIE). The Research Development Team supports researchers in identifying and responding to funding opportunities to support their research.

You will be part of the Research Development Team, within the Research and Innovation Support (RaISE) team, tasked with driving high-quality external funding applications and proactively supporting delivery of the University’s ambition to increase the quality and volume of its research and secure the funding to do so. You will support the Senior Research Development Managers in implementing the institutional Research and Innovation Strategy by providing high-quality support to academics in developing research funding proposals. You will provide proactive and reactive guidance on funding opportunities to stimulate research grant development. You will project manage the proposal development process, working closely and in a coordinated way with academic and professional services colleagues.

You will hold a degree and will have relevant experience in supporting development of research. You will also bring to the role a firm understanding of the landscape of research funding in the UK and excellent organisation and project management skills.
