We are seeking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide support to the Director of the Centre for Human Genetics, Nuffield Department of Medicine.

The Centre for Human Genetics (CHG) houses approximately 400 researchers and staff conducting world-leading research in human genetics, genomics and bioinformatics. Comprising nearly 3,5000sqm of laboratory space, the unit hosts a variety of research groups as well as housing a number of small research facilities that deliver key services and technologies to support these teams.

You will act as the primary contact for all internal or external enquiries and requests for information for the CHG Director, and you will manage the Director’s diary, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling the demands placed on the schedule. You will be responsible for organising efficiently the arrangements for meetings, including arranging appropriate catering for meetings held in the office and other venues, and you will make all domestic and international travel arrangements for the Director, including arrangement of visas, processing of expenses and arrangement of insurance as per the University’s policies and legal regulations. Another key part of this role is the provision of daily operational line management to other PAs working in the unit, with 3 direct reports.

It is essential that you are educated to A-Level or equivalent, with demonstrable experience as an executive or personal assistant at a senior level, and experience of complex diary management and dealing with confidential and highly sensitive correspondence. You will have excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in audio/touch typing, record-keeping and dictation, and you will have high levels of computer literacy with a good knowledge MS Office, SharePoint and Teams, and a responsive attitude to changing office technologies such as file sharing platforms, remote working aids and video conferencing tools. It is essential that you are skilled in communication both written and oral, able to draft reports and present information to a high standard, adapting to the needs of different audiences. A high standard of numeracy, with the ability to track financial spend against budgets and excellent attention to detail is essential for this position.

What you will be doing

Reflecting the range of our work, no two weeks are the same and your work will include site and desk-based work. Typically, your work will include:

· Acting as Project Manager for a mix of projects for both internal and external stakeholders

· Writing and contributing to LVIAs / SLVIAs / TVIAs to aid a wide range of projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, typically in the onshore and offshore renewables, commercial, residential, leisure and transport sectors.

· Undertaking site visits and viewpoint photography

· Inputting into landscape masterplans and landscape and ecological management plans

· Working closely with other colleagues in the Landscape Team, as well as the wider RPS group, including multi-disciplinary colleagues and project teams to deliver projects that form part of the UK’s reaction to climate change, housing and infrastructure problems.

Who we are looking for

You will have a degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline and ideally be a Chartered Member of The Landscape Institute (CMLI) with relevant years of experience applicable to this level, and be able to offer the following:

· Excellent report writing and organisational experience

· Experience of conducting LVIAs for a range of project scales

· Trained in, or an awareness of, AutoCAD and desktop publishing software

· Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under your own initiative to achieve targets Willingness to travel for project work

Experience of, and contributing to, the DCO (Development Consent Order) process would be an advantage as well as experience of providing evidence at Public Inquiry.

Hays have been exclusively retained by Enara Bio to identify a Senior Director/VP of Computational Biology to join their team and drive the next phase of Computational Science at Enara Bio. Computational Biology is at the heart of our antigen discovery platform and will be key in enabling our novel biologics discovery workflows with the exciting goal of building novel platforms and processes to develop dark-antigen targeting, bi-specific, T cell engagers.


Enara Bio's purpose is to shine a light on unconventional T cell targets to develop cancer immunotherapies designed to provide lasting benefit for broad patient populations. Our proprietary EDAPT™ platform enables us to discover a novel and differentiated class of cancer-specific targets from the genomic dark matter, which we call Dark Antigens™. We are pioneering approaches to exploit these Dark Antigen targets with a range of immunotherapeutic modalities, including bispecific T-cell engagers, adoptive cell therapies and cancer vaccines.


Enara Bio was founded in 2016 and has been well funded to invest in the build out and growth of our R&D efforts and our fantastic team. The company is based in Oxford, UK though there is significant scope for remote working.


Your new role
As the Senior Director/VP of Computational Biology you will be developing and implementing new strategies to support and improve our existing bioinformatic pipelines and deploy new computational biology capabilities throughout our established biologics discovery pipeline, as we progress impactful immunotherapies towards the clinic.


As the Head of the Computational Biology function, you will lead an established team of bioinformaticians, computer scientists and data managers. You will support the development of individuals and drive the growth of the function in line with our Research strategy.


As a subject matter expert in Computational Biology, you will also define the overall strategy of how Computational Biology can drive forward and enhance all aspects of our R&D pipeline and be a key advisor to the Leadership Team in these matters.


As a senior leader within Research you will be part of a key team developing and delivering the broader research strategy. You will also influence the operation of our Research division as we continue to build an ecosystem that enables each of us to do our best work, ensuring our core pillars of purpose, authenticity and self-management are embedded across the teams.
