Morgan Hunt are working with an NHS Trust based in Kent who are looking at recruiting a Deputy Chief Financial Officer. This is a 6 month contract role paying up to £53 p/hour. This is a hybrid role with 2 days p/week based remote.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy CFO:

• Provide clear understanding and forecasts of the Trust's financial position, identifying key drivers, risks, and necessary actions.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team and PMO to ensure consistent reporting of efficiency savings (CIPs) and their impact on the overall financial position.
• Identify and enhance productivity opportunities with divisional teams, using benchmarking tools like Model Hospital.
• Support the CFO in managing financial risks, ensuring action plans are in place to meet efficiency targets and mitigate risks to income and expenditure.
• Work with key stakeholders to reduce agency and bank staff expenditure by 50% by 31/24.
• Assist the CFO in developing the medium-term financial recovery plan, working with external system stakeholders like the Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Previous Skills and Experience of the Deputy CFO:

• Experience working at CFO or Deputy CFO level within complex NHS acute providers.
• Demonstrated success in delivering financial improvement programmes.
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
• Proactive, effective in providing constructive challenge, and knowledgeable of NHS financial issues.
• Degree-level education or equivalent; CCAB qualification required.

The successful candidate will be working independently in either Respiratory and Sleep. Perform, analyse and report on a wide range of respiratory investigations including: Full lung function testing (Spirometry, static lung volumes and gas transfer) Bronchodilator reversibility testing FENO 6 Minute walk test Overnight oximetry Multichannel sleep studies (Respiratory Polygraphy) Full Polysomnography and MSLT Actigraphy Record, measure and monitor physiological changes in patients and deliver accurate, reliable and reproducible results. Hold consultation clinics discussing results of sleep investigations and explaining CPAP Revalidation and Registration therapy, including the administration of CPAP. Follow up all patients on CPAP treatment to ensure adequate compliance, implement additional investigations as necessary and continue to support established patients. Make decisions on treatment modifications for CPAP patients. Ensure the safe use and maintenance of all equipment. Perform required calibrations and organize maintenance updates as necessary. Participate in the Sleep MDM and put patients through for discussion as appropriate, based on clinical queries. Competency and experience performing and interpreting Lung Function Tests fully independently In-depth knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathology Knowledge of sleep disorders and CPAP treatment Ability to analyse and report multichannel sleep studies independently Experience on CPAP setup, follow-up and troubleshooting Team leadership and management skills

The role's function will be to provide support to the People team, supporting Managers, departments and staff to achieve outcomes based on providing top-quality people service, providing same to students. You will also lead on the shared service provision of the People Service for training.

The ideal candidate must be highly knowledgeable and have practical experienced around employment law/legislation, as well as safeguarding and vetting, and have line management experience. If you have the following, we'd love to hear from you:

• Relevant qualifications, including MCIPD, with a Graduate member status of CIPD accompanying Level 7 CIPD qualification.
• Experience of HR Project management, a proven track record in absence and performance management, knowledge and previous experience of using HR databases to analyse data and trends.
• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practice, safeguarding & vetting, and previous line management experience.
• Ability to deal with complex and sensitive cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills on a one to one or group basis, including the ability to develop and write policy, guidance, Executive Group and other reports.
• Ability to deal concurrently with multiple complex issues.
