We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary to permanent Packer for a dried food ingredient factory in Portbury, near Portishead, Bristol.

You will be operating as a Packer with dried ingredients and flavourings and lifting/picking/packing up to 25kg at a time. As a Packer, you will be lifting throughout the day so should be comfortable with this element of the role.

This role will also include Dispensary duties. You will be fully trained, but required in addition to packing, to weigh specific items before dispatch.

Main Duties 1. To maintain a complex clinical caseload within highly specialist areas of Paediatric Dietetics. This involves liaison with other health professionals, suppliers, patients and carers to facilitate the provision of appropriate, timely and cost effective nutritional treatment for children receiving specialist nutritional products. 2. To undertake comprehensive highly specialist assessments of patients clinical needs in a holistic manner using specialised clinical knowledge and skills and a broad range of nutritional assessment skills, measurements and techniques. This may include the use of dietary analysis software, anthropometric measurements, often in patients with diverse or complex nutritional and physical health needs. To negotiate and agree dietary or nutritional goals with individual patients and/or their parents and carers, including those with diverse or complex nutritional and physical health needs and end of life issues. The post holder will need to use motivational interviewing, counselling and cognitive behaviour therapy tools as applicable. This may include identifying individual barriers to change and helping clients and carers to manage them. Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff. To identify and work with the Paediatric Dietitian Team Leader to manage clinical risk, including infection control risk, within the team caseload and support others to do so. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Nurse your key duties include:
• Assess own learning needs through the process of performance review and develops key annual objectives which support the delivery and improvement of the service
• To develop and enhance clinical and leadership skills as appropriate, undertaking in-house and formal training to ensure competency in all aspects of care. To be aware of all aspects of clinical governance and risk management with regards to the enhanced role of the nurse practitioner
• Maintain clinical credibility by demonstrating continually professional development and undertake training and education as required, ensuring highest standard of evidence based clinical skills
• Undertake teaching sessions and presentations to groups of staff; be involved with the training and education of other staff with regards to the role of the UCC and ENP/ANP’s
• To adapt and develop the role of Nurse Practitioner, ensuring flexibility and willingness to expand the role as required

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Experience of clinical leadership
• Able to demonstrate teaching and assessing skills
• Experience of service specific advanced clinical skills
• Experience of working within multi professional settings contributing to effective team working
• Able to demonstrate adherence to evidence-based practice
• Experience of working independently in a healthcare role
• V300 qualification with previous experience in a Primary Care setting
• You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
