As first point of contact, ensure that all callers and visitors are dealt with promptly, courteously and appropriately. Ensure appropriate action is taken and the individual is kept informed. Deal with all incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence on a daily basis ensuring it is dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner Produce general correspondence, e.g. clinic letters and result letters Type accurately using audio dictation, as necessary Maintain an organised manual and electronic file management system. Liaise with Medical Records, the Appointments Office and Outpatient department to ensure the smooth running of clinics Responsible for updating medical records and the Patient Administration System (PAS) with patients details Ensure any referrals received into the department are dealt with appropriately. Ensure investigation results are obtained and available for clinic appointments. Obtain and track patient notes when requested, and following all procedures related to the medical records department using the PAS system. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Team Lead SLT to join our integrated neurorehabilitation therapies team and speech & language therapy service across Pennine Lancashire.

Rakehead Rehabilitation Centre is a purpose-built 17 bedded unit, the successful applicant will also be part of the integrated community neuro team working across Pennine Lancashire. The service is well equipped and supported by a team of administrators and Assistant Practitioners. You will work as part of an established and experienced SLT team and wider MDT providing responsive and high quality complex neurorehabilitation services in both a specialist in-patient unit and across the community.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required together with good organisational and time management skills. You will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, under pressure and be self directed, recognising your own limits.

You will be a qualified and HCPC registered SLT with sound knowledge and experience of specialist assessment and treatment procedures for this client group. This post will suit a SLT ready to undertake clinical leadership in a highly specialist role or someone who already has this level of competency and is looking to extend their experience.

You will need access to transport for work purposes and be able to travel between community visits in a timely manner.

Embedded in the neuro rehabilitation MDT, you will act as the Clinical Lead SLT with specific responsibility for the inpatient pathway. Providing a high level of clinical expertise, highly specialist assessment skills and interactions within neuro rehabilitation.



Providing operational and line management to a designated team in the delivery of a highly effective, safe and personal service, delivered around the needs of individual patients/carers as described by agreed goals/outcome measures and within the SLT neuro rehab clinical pathway.

The role will include teaching and the provision of highly specialist support in the management of complex conditions, educating other healthcare professionals and wider stakeholders. Offering training and support to less experienced SLTs and other staff.

The ROLE
Due to continued expansion of their European Headquarters an opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled welder/fabricating engineer and enthusiastic team player, based in the factory, to become a key member supporting the Manufacturing Department. Duties will include;
* Fabricate parts from drawings
* Class 1 Fabrication to BS EN 287, ASME IX, 15614, NORSOK M601
* Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
* Welding activities to class 1 standards using TIG/MIG/MAG/Flux Core welding on common welded joints

The CANDIDATE
The right candidate will possess;
* Experience within a similar environment
* Considerable fabrication experience
* Class 1 Welding experience
* Circular fabrication experience would be advantageous
