• If selected at the GS-07, GS-09 or GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity:
• Serves as the Drug Testing Administrator for DoD customers, monitoring the worldwide testing process, to include specimen collection, lab testing, and medical review services.

Accountable for all functions of the above referenced offices which include the intake and releasing systems, physical processing of inmates, prevention of the introduction of contraband, safeguarding and disbursing of inmate personal property, judgment and commitment records maintenance to include archiving, review sentence computations, security and control of records, ensuring the mail room staff process and deliver inmate mail and packages within prescribed time frames, coordination of prisoners' transfer, oversight of data systems.

Maintains liaison with the U.S. District Courts and D.C. Superior Court, other committing agencies, local law enforcement agencies, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Parole Commission (USPC), and many other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

• Provides administrative support including mail preparation, copying, distribution, correspondence, memorandums, briefings, Daily Activity Reports, and other requirements for day-to-day operations.

Installs, configures and monitors tested and evaluated software packages that provide performance measurements of the WAN/LAN. Implements the standard configuration software loads for all network devices. Utilizes benchmarks and performance measurement and evaluation data to manage network servers and data communication devices to support normal and surge workload. Works with technical support personnel in resolving critical problems. Uses remote management software tools to maintain and update configuration, protocol and user/system files. Documents and tracks change to configuration, protocol and user/system files. Executes appropriate action to ensure backup processes are completed.

Evaluates the performance of network devices such as servers, workstations, and peripheral devices, and remote access systems. Coordinates the development and implementation of configuration management plans for complex LANs and WANs with supported elements to include headquarters staff elements, tenant activities, state government, regional operating activities and national agencies. Implements plans and procedures for remote installation of applications and upgrades using state of the art software distribution methods. Monitors distribution of applications and upgrades ensuring compliance with regulations and copyright laws.
