Performs duties consistent with the coordination of approved drug abuse programs, including Non-residential Drug Abuse Treatment, Drug Education, Residential Drug Abuse Treatment, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Program Management

• Develops a system to identify SCI patients served by the facility and community who belong in this special disability group. This may involve use of the Spinal Cord Dysfunction (SCD) Registry, Patient Treatment File searches, Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture (VistA) and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) records, SCD reports and/or Classification reports, Patient Data Exchange, Network Health Exchange, and contacts within the community.
• Serves as the point of contact for all inquiries regarding the SCI program. You will serve as a RECREATION BOATING SAFETY SPECIALIST and the primary mission of the Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) program is to direct and coordinate the Eighth Coast Guard District's activities related to recreational boating safety mandates of the Federal Boat Safety Act of 1971, as codified by Title 46, U.S. Code. The program's goal is to reduce boating accidents and fatalities through prevention programs that serve to educate and/or motivate recreational boaters to behave responsibly and knowledgeably on the water.

• Serves as an Instructor Pilot for student pilots in academic, flight and flight simulator flight training.

The lnterventional Radiologist is charged with delivering the best possible care to our Veterans. This care must be delivered in accordance with hospital policy, meeting or exceeding national standards and VHA national benchmarks. Assigned duties and responsibilities are performed throughout the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, often in a close interdisciplinary arrangement and consultation with other clinical services such as the Department of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine etc. Interdisciplinary collaborative care implies active participation in interdisciplinary conferences and adherence to interdisciplinary care and treatment strategy decisions.
