Overview

Overall ownership and management of the WTG Transport and Installation (T&I) elements of an offshore renewables project through its refinement phase, into the execution phase and through to commercial operation. Supported by the wider package teams and other project functions, and responsible to the WTG Package Manager, the Transport and Installation Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of activity to progress the WTG T&I FEED and detailed design scopes, effective contract and commercial planning and management, supply chain engagement and evaluation, execution planning and risk management, pre-construction surveys and data analysis, providing input to any required consenting processes as well as relevant stakeholder engagement in order to maintain the project programme and achieve the key milestones which will initially focus on achieving Financial Close.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the client's policies are the guiding principle within the management of safety, health and the environment and integral to each phase of the project. Implementing the Project SHE charter and management strategy in conjunction with the project stakeholders and the supply chain to provide a simple and effective reference point for the management of health and safety.
• Ensuring the WTG T&I elements of the Business Case for the project are continually optimised through the Refinement and Execution phases. This will include the comprehensive evaluation of current and future value improvement opportunities and the effective management of risks at all stages of the project.
• Working with the consent team to ensure compliance with and appropriate discharge of consent conditions. In addition, ensuring Contractors are maintaining compliance with agreements inclusive of the offshore lease(s), permits, fisheries and other applicable stakeholder regulatory requirements.
• Working with the WTG Package Manager and other project functional leads to ensure progress is being made on Key Decisions, Interfaces and Risks, Contract Milestones and design activity in line with the project programme. Reviewing the build sequence, construction strategy and commissioning plan for the project on a periodic basis to ensure that this is being fully optimised to achieve the key project milestones.
• Management and coordination of WTG T&I engineering, marine logistics optimisation, marine assurance, MWS management for the project.
• The WTG T&I Manager will support the development and delivery of the WTG T&I contract packages for the project, and in particular the Wind Turbine Installation Vessel contract, based upon the overall contracting strategy. This will include the comprehensive evaluation of options available and consideration of all emerging technology, vessels, marine spreads and other value improvement opportunities in order to support the development of a fully optimised Business Case. WTG T&I Manager Offshore role
• The WTG T&I Manager will act as a focal point for engagement with supply chain participants who have both direct and indirect interests in bidding for the relevant work package.
• The WTG T&I Manager will support the WTG Package Manager to develop resource plans for the package taking into account the requirement for dedicated and shared resources. The resource plan will be aligned with the overall project programme and PEP.
• The WTG T&I Manager will be responsible for project programme tracking, risk management and coordination of all activities for delivery of T&I packages during the execution phase.
• Evaluating and negotiating Contractor claims, variations and where required settlement agreements, ensuring the best possible commercial terms are agreed for the project.

The post-holder will: provide excellent direct clinical care for patients presenting to the ED, while working to maintain operational standards be responsible for the initial assessment, management and discharge or referral of patients to specialist teams provide timely and effective review of those patients initially assessed by the post-holder (or handed over by junior or Consultant colleagues), both in the main department and of those patients subsequently admitted to the Clinical Decision Unit. provide clinical advice and support to the one FY1, Senior House Officers and nursing staff on the management of individual patients and ensure appropriate prioritisation of patient care assume the role of Trauma Team Leader when the Trauma team is activated assume the role of Team Leader for cardiac arrests occurring in Emergency Department respond to a major incident call out and deliver clinical care in accordance with the Trusts Major Incident Plan Be responsible, with the Nursing Shift Leader, for efficient floor management including deployment of junior medical staff ensure that accurate, timely and sufficiently comprehensive information is communicated to our patients, their carers and General Practitioners. This includes the clinical coding of every patient episode and the provision of discharge letters for all patients and for those sent to CDU liaise with colleagues within the Department, specialist teams providing inpatient care, the Clinical Site Practitioners, the Psychiatric Liaison Team, Rapid Response Service and the statutory, voluntary and other bodies involved in the provision of patient care within the community review pathology and imaging reports and initiate appropriate action as required participate in the Clinical Governance role of the Department, including quality improvement, risk management and the investigation of formal complaints and incidents Educational The post-holder will be expected to actively participate in: the clinical supervision and education of final year medical undergraduates attached to the department of Emergency Medicine Regular teaching and induction programmes for Emergency medicine SHOs Educational activities for ED nursing staff, where appropriate Continuous Professional Development The post holder will be expected to: continue his/her own professional development in line with national guidance on revalidation as well as guidance from his/her professional body and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine comply with the Trusts mandatory training requirements Maintain valid life support provider status for ALS, ATLS and APLS (or EPLS or equivalent) Actively participate in and contribute to the Senior EM Training Programme. Successful applicants will participate in a rolling rota with their Speciality Doctor and Specialist Registrar colleagues, delivering direct clinical care on a 24-7 basis, with full internal cover for annual leave, study leave, and Bank and Public Holidays. The rota will comply with current national guidance and specialty doctors will be contracted for 10 programmed activities per week comprised of: 9 PA for direct clinical care 1 PA for supporting professional activity.

Key Responsibilities:

This role has a strong focus on stock management and health and safety but customer service is at the heart of this role. We're a timber specialist branch and aim to provide the best service possible to our customers and our Yard Assistants are often the first point of contact for our customers.

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects

• Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values

• Help to pick and prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles

• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products

• Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts

• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers

• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in a customer facing role

• Previous industry experience preferred but not essential

• Confident working both indoors and outdoors

• A positive and proactive attitude to work

• Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items

What you'll be doing:

Our Timber Mill Operatives are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time.

• Carry out timber milling to customer specifications - able to understand measurements and customer requirements

• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in an Operational environment

• Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment to be used

• Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a timber processing plant and timber storage and distribution site

• Ability to carry out routine inspections

• Ability to understand, complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the role

• Ability to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operation

• Previous experience in a similar timber mill environment preferred however training will be provided

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
