Shift patterns cover (6am to 8pm - 7 days a week). Whilst regular work is not guaranteed, applicants can give as much or as little availability as they like.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Delivering food to and serving patient food to the wards areas
• Using ward ovens to regenerate food
• Keeping the ward kitchen clean
• Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
• Washing up and other general cleaning duties.
• The role also could involve working in cold rooms to pick and seal patient food and also working in pot wash.

The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.

Contract - Permanent

Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Base - York

The post holder is responsible for managing the building and engineering staff of the York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) and for the maintenance of all properties and plant and ensuring all building service provision, in line with all relevant statutory legislation and guidance.

The role involves the line management and day to day supervision of staff, prioritising and organising the workload of the team; fault finding, operating estates systems; liaison with other departments across the wider Trust and keeping records up to date. There may be a requirement to participate in an Estates On-Call Rota.

Working with all stakeholders across both clinical and Estates & Facilities, Authorising Engineers and external contractors to ensure the building services with the York Hospital and surrounding Trust building are working, compliant and providing provision.

You will be able to liaise and provide effective communication at all levels and be able to meet with both staff and external staff. Records need to be both accurate, timely and quality training sessions need to be given.

You must have completed an accredited trade specific apprenticeship and at least another 2 years post apprenticeship training gathering specialist health service knowledge as many tasks are statutory such as Water Safety, LOLER, asbestos and many more.

You must be able to analyse complex reports / faults and a wide range of building services and be able to work independently but within statutory regulations and guidance, and as part of this you would be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of the Trusts / YTHFM assets and premises.

You will be responsible for the Trusts directly employed labour applications of policy and procedures and the day-to-day control and support of contractors. York workload will be your own to prioritise.

The Role
London South East Colleges is seeking to recruit a Business Administrator office administrator.
The Apprentice will be based at the Nido Volans site in Lambeth and will work with Support Co-ordinator, Transition Co-ordinator and management to facilitate the day to day running of the office. You will communicate and deal with enquiries from current learners' families, prospective learners' families and other stakeholders. You will also work with teams to managing sensitive data and providing families with accurate information and assistance with required documentation. This role demands the skill to relate to and empathise with learners and families of all backgrounds and abilities.
Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be a team player and be able to work under pressure. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail. You will also have organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge (a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential) and sound administration skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Capital Projects Team as part of York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP, with the newly created role of Capital Project Support Officer – Charitable, where the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting with the delivery of charitably funded projects across the Trust’s portfolio of sites.

Working under the direction of the Head of Capital Projects you will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of projects by supporting the Project Management Office with a range of duties, including minute taking, project board support and stakeholder engagement. This role is one within which an individual can develop project management skills and experience in project delivery. You will also engage regularly with the Trust’s charity and communication’s team therefore effective communication is important.

The successful candidate will have experience in a project support role and working in a busy office environment. The role will include using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel; therefore, advanced keyboard skills are required.

The Capital Project Support Officer Charitable will act as a key role within the Project Management Office. The post holder will undertake the following main duties:

·Stakeholder engagement by being the key point of contact for project stakeholders e.g. being the first point of contact and directing queries accordingly.

·Administration of projects i.e. minute taking, action logs, scheduling of meetings etc.

·Preparation of project relevant documents i.e. room data sheet, equipment schedules and technical drawings.

·Assist in the delivery of complex project plans and activities, such as raising purchase orders and receipting invoices.

·Assist the Capital Project’s Team and Trust Charity by ensuring all project communications are clear, concise and timely.

·Diary management and forward planning of projects, considering financial considerations, and clinical activities for example.

The post holder will be based in a busy office environment with several other colleagues. There may be times when the role requires the post to visit departments and wards within the hospital. In addition to this the post may require cross site working, dependant on where a project is based

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trust as a Research Project Manager for the ColoCap Trial.

You will join a national study team being established across the UK and will play a key role managing the study at NHS sites in England. This is an opportunity to get involved at the outset, inputting into the study set up and approval stages and subsequently delivering this ground-breaking trial over the next 3 years.

The post holder will additionally be responsible for the day-to-day management of other research projects, studies and trials at the Trust as required. The Project Manager must be able to provide initial advice, guidance, and support for researchers so candidates must already be familiar with the regulatory environment surrounding research in the NHS.

The post may therefore be varied, with opportunities for oversight of several concurrent research studies across a potentially clinically diverse field. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous trial/study management or coordination experience, who relishes a challenge, is keen to use their own initiative, and is flexible to the changing demands of research being able to prioritise competing workloads.

The right candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, a strong communicator, proactive and be able to work independently within a team environment.

Line management of other members of the team is required and national travel to support research sites may be necessary.'
