What you'll be doing:

This is a vital and multiskilled role within the branch. As a Senior Customer Service Advisor, you'll support the day-to-day running of the branch. You'll drive sales and process orders, manage customer expectations, control stock and suppliers and limit loss, and act as a relief delivery driver when required.

• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values

• Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible

• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, manage stock control and keep customers updated throughout their journey

• Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse and load onto customer and delivery vehicles

• Act as a relief delivery driver, performing deliveries to our customers in one of our 3.5t vans, unloading materials at site

• Keep the branch and yard/warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers

• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts

• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

What you'll need to have:

• A valid UK driving license is a requirement of this role

• Previous Builders merchant industry experience preferred but not essential

• Experience in a customer facing environment

• IT literate and a strong communicator

• Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitude

Training and Onboarding
We're committed to ensuring you've the right tools to service our customers, that's why you'll go through 3 weeks of initial training with one of our expert Trainers, and a further 4-week transition period with the guidance of one of our Support Specialists.

What Will You Be Doing?
