The Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS) provides high quality security services at over 170 MOD sites across the United Kingdom. The MGS has guarded the Defence Estate for over 30 years including high profile locations such as MOD Main Building in London, Whitehall and His Majesty’s Naval Bases at Portsmouth, Devonport, and the Clyde. We provide access control, military working dogs, control room operations and other security services. Customer Service Advisor needed in Eastbourne, £11.44ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1393553

• Interacting with customers across multiple channels: face to face, phone, letter, email, via customer portal and self-service channels and a range of social media channels.
• Act on contact.
• Referring to other systems when necessary to resolve requests.
• Reviewing and moderating reports and requests, proactively managing and resolving them where possible or referring them to the relevant team or contractor using scripts and processes when required.
• Carrying out a range of other related duties and capturing statistical data or sending correspondence.
• Answering a range of general enquiries for Housing Solutions.
• Sending information sheets, guidelines and website links to customers.
• Taking the customer’s full story into account when giving advice, provided by the single view of the customer in their Golden Customer Record.
• Identifying and escalating complex cases and inconsistencies as appropriate
• Providing technical advice to customers having difficulties using self- service channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with customers across multiple channels: phone, letter, email, customer portal, self-service channels, and various social media platforms. Introduce yourself clearly, and communicate with politeness, patience, empathy, and strong people skills.
• Take ownership of repair requests, promptly raise orders on the Homes First repairs database, and provide customers with relevant details about the orders and actions to be taken.
• Understand and prioritize customer repair requests according to service level agreements with contractors and customers, ensuring the correct urgency and type of work is allocated.
• Utilize the repair ordering system to access repair history and tenant data, identifying specific details that need special consideration.
• Use additional property systems to verify property data, such as planned major works, that could impact response repairs.
• Diagnose repair requests thoroughly to ensure orders are raised with the correct schedule of works, aiming for "right first-time fix" and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage and resolve issues proactively or refer them to the appropriate team or contractor, using scripts and processes when necessary.
