We are looking for world-class technical talent to join our Applied Materials Technical Infrastructure team.  This is an onsite position at our R&D site in Tempe, AZ, reporting to the Director of GWI Technical Facilities.

Scope and Objectives:

The Applied Materials Research Center is located on the ASU Research Park in Tempe, AZ.  The R&D Lab supports Applied Materials most advanced semiconductor machines including supporting equipment and facilities infrastructure.

The position is Facilities Engineering Technician supporting the maintenance of all supporting equipment including POU Abatement units, pumps, chillers, gas distribution equipment, and subfab utilities.  This includes performing preventive maintenance procedures, creating maintenance procedures, and resolving breakdown maintenance events.

Responsibilities:

As a Facilities Engineering Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform preventive, corrective maintenance on equipment as required per the operating procedures. 
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor and support equipment for process readiness 
• Recover equipment from process interruptions, complete event documentation and effectively communicate team pass downs. 
• Develop and implement operating procedures, support, and engage in training activities. 
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, learning and skills development 
• Work independently and collaboratively with teams in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree with 5+ years of industry experience.

Essential Duties
