NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
To manage and work alongside the team of Event Managers, who are responsible for driving the standards in the preparation of corporate lounges and thorough presentation of the food and beverage offer to guests attending all meetings and events To support the Deputy Heads of Hospitality and Event Catering in the planning and delivering all catering activities at Chelsea FC This is a “hands on” role, requiring a positive can-do attitude and a high level of attention to detail.
Operational
• To lead by example and take charge of all daily operations and catering delivery on the floor within the work place as an exemplary Hospitality Catering Manager should
• To actively take lead on the larger setups and areas on match day that are allocated to you by the Deputy Heads of Hospitality and Event Catering. This includes independently carrying out staffing plans, bespoke orders, pre conferences with the relevant stakeholders and liaising with suppliers directly to tailor an event to the client’s needs and deliver operational excellence • To ensure that all company quality standards in every aspect of the operation are adhered to at all times
• To effectively communicate company standards to your team and monitor adherence to these standards
• To ensure the full and clear communication of all client requirements and expectations
• To manage the opening and closing procedures of the department are adhered to at all times
• To ensure all on site documentation is completed to the agreed standard and timescale and that an effective system is in place for the filing, storage and retrieval of all document. This includes but is not limited to H&S sign offs, Hospitality Catering Managers checklists and other daily departmental sign offs that occur through the business.
• To lead by example and ensure members of the team wear the correct, full and clean uniform whilst on duty. Actively address all issues relation to non-adherence of Company standards
• To respond to the pace of the business in terms of speed of work and productivity
• To be aware and adhere with statutory, legal and Company requirements for: Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing Laws, Employment Law, Fire Regulations, Sales of good/Trade Description, Personnel/HR procedures
• To report all maintenance issues and hazards as in the Company Health and Safety Manual
• To attend unit meetings and cascade briefing information accordingly
