About You

• You must possess an NVQ 2 in Beauty Therapy or have equivalent relevant qualifications

• A qualification & experience in acrylic nails & E-file is desirable but not essential

• Previous experience in beauty is a plus

• Confidence in approaching customers and upselling services and products

• A desire to exceed customers' expectations

• Passionate about all thing's beauty

The Role

You will join a team of therapists who are experts at what they do. You will be providing professional advice and beauty treatments for our customers to ensure they have the best in-store experience.

You will offer the following treatments:

• Nails (manicure, pedicure, gel polish and Acrylics*)

• Threading

• Tinting

• Facial & Brow waxing

• Brow lamination

• Lash extensions

• Piercings

*Acrylics only performed in certain stores

What are the results and outcomes this role is to achieve? The post holder undertakes training and passes competence assessment to deliver diabetes education Diabetes education is delivered in an inclusive and interactive manner which allows for questions and discussion on the topics covered Delivery of education is patient centred and allows for a variety of learning styles to support cognitive learning The educator introduces and covers each topic following the curriculum closely Educators reflect on the session, identify what went well, what went less well and what changes could be made. Any reasonable duties shall be undertaken to achieve the above. What performance measures are necessary to measure the above? NNL are looking to recruit a team of Health Physics monitors to carry out Routine and Non Routine Operations on the Windscale site on Sellafield. They will be expected to cover both facilities on the site as required, offering Health Physics support.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities for Health Physics Monitor:

• Provide advice in the area of radiological protection, referring upwards where appropriate and as agreed.
• Produce survey sheets, reports, presentations and data in an understandable manner in order to support NNL management.
• Work with other specialists (e.g. Advisors and Analysts) to share findings and identify trends to develop a holistic picture of issues, concerns, good practice and areas for improvement in EHSS&Q culture and performance.
• Ensure that the specialist advice provided is proportionate and ensures compliance with NNL and external requirements.
• To follow through on advice provided, to ensure that it is implemented in a way that provides a suitable solution to the original problem identified.
• Ensure you attend all training courses to ensure you maintain a high standard within the role of Health Physics monitor.
• Provide an emergency response for Health Physics matters.
• Report issues and behaviours which cause concern in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria for Health Physics Monitor:

• City and Guilds Level 1 in Radiation Protection or NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection.
• Experience working as a Health Physics monitor in a Nuclear facility.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017,Environmental Permitting Regulations (amended) 2011 & Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Health Physics Monitor:

• IOSH working safely.
• Experience of NNL Central Lab , Windscale Operations or equivalent SL plant.
• Good influencing, presentational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to interpret regulations.
