What you will be doing:
As a qualified Physical Health Nurse, you will lead and coordinate all aspects of the physical health needs of service users, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork with the multidisciplinary team, such as GPs and other physical health departments.
You will be responsible for monitoring observations and assessments to identify any actions that need to be addressed and documented.
As a Physical Healthcare Nurse, you will be:
- Adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct and facilitate the compliance with local, Trust and national standards of practice.
- Developing and supporting physical health interventions used in the clinical area using knowledge of current best evidence-based practice.
- Engaging actively in practice development, evaluation, audit activities relevant to physical healthcare and/or service areas to promote evidence-based practice.
- Working collaboratively with primary health, developing and maintaining links with GP practices, and other physical health departments.
- Monitoring and maintaining Physical Health Dashboards.

Location: The Woodmill, Exeter Road, Cullompton, Devon, United Kingdom, EX15 1EA
The Woodmill is an 18 bed rehabilitation service for women with complex emotional and mental health needs.
The 18 bed unit creates a pathway for patients to step down through their recovery. Ivy is a 6 bed admission area and Rose is a 12 bed rehabilitation area, with the option to flex within the 12 bed area to a four bed section that can create a further step down with a separate entrance for those patients that are progressing well and are preparing for discharge to the community.
The aim of the service is to support women to improve their self-worth, build a better quality of life for themselves and to equip them with the skills needed for community living and increased independence.
