This is an advert for a Registered General Nurse to work within the integrated health service at HMP Wymott.
The prison is based in Ulnes Walton (near Leyland, Lancashire) and is easily accessible by public transport, Wymott prison is a Male Category C.
This is an exciting and dynamic role for the post holder who will be looking to expand their knowledge in health and justice services. We are looking to recruit warm, compassionate, caring, hardworking individuals to join our friendly, motivated and dynamic team at HMP Wymott.
Nursing in prison is never dull or predictable. On any given day the skills you use may be similar to those you need working in health promotion or A&E, alternatively you may be supporting people to manage their mental health or substance misuse. It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences. But at the same time, you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best care possible.
You will be a qualified RGN with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

Healthcare services operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and the successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to meeting the demands of the service.
