Who we are looking for: We are seeking to appoint a Food Technology Technician as part of our school support team.
The role of the Food Technology Technician is to support the smooth running of the Food Technology Department. Preparing materials and maintaining equipment and to ensure the teaching environment is kept to a high standard. The post holder will support the Department in that ensuring stock control is managed and materials are prepared for classes in order to assist teaching staff. The post holder will work under the instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the Technology Department, to support access to learning for students and provide general support to the teacher in the management of students and the classroom. You may be required to supervise small groups of students and/or whole classes as required during the short-term absence of a teacher. You should have or be willing to undertake a basic food hygiene certificate.
You will have:
At least 5 GCSE A*-C/9-4 grades including science, English language and maths.
