• This is being announced at multiple grade levels. Duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-04/05/06 grade levels. At the full performance, GS-07, the incumbent will:
• Receive and evaluate 911 emergency calls to identify nature of emergency and level of response.
• Dispatch emergency response units, such as police, fire and emergency medical personnel and equipment.
• Maintain an accurate status of all emergency response equipment and personnel to assure prompt and accurate response.
• Provide emergency medical dispatching (EMD) assistance to callers with medical emergencies using emergency medical dispatch system.

• Serves as editor of the post command information newspaper.
• Responsible for the newspaper's planning, management and operations, and the effective utilization of the command information.
• Edits reporters' stories and articles supplied by other sources to ensure compliance with regulations, policy, Associated Press style guide and good journalistic practice.
• Edits the Pentagram, as well as external new releases to resolve difficult questions of written grammar or style.

• Provide information updates, including information concerning policies, guidance and items of interest to assist leadership in communicating with their subordinates.
