The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical engineer who excels in MBE growth production and enjoys working as a team. The MBE Growth Production Engineer is responsible for the MBE growth and characterization of HgCdTe wafers for the production of high performance infrared focal plane arrays and detectors.

This involves MBE tool ownership from tool use planning, tool maintenance and repair, growth structure design, recipe writing, wafer growth, post growth wafer characterization and correlation of MBE growth results with final device performance.

As a member of the technical staff, the MBE Growth Production Engineer is encouraged to innovate new growth and characterization techniques for continual process improvements for yield enhancement and increased wafer throughput.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Hands-on expertise with MBE growth of semiconductors is required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role is Primarily located in the 100% Final Inspection Area.

• Perform visual inspection on Finish Good product to assure product meets final acceptance criteria according to inspection checklist.

• Measure materials/products using measurement tools and gauges (calipers, height gauge, rulers, pin gauges, etc.) and generate inspection records. Verify information for accuracy. Ensure that BD’s Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed.

• Sample and inspect raw materials, sub-assemblies, and final products for conformance to approved specifications.

• Perform and/or assist in First Article Inspections (FAI), Engineering Evaluations, and Defect Analyses.

• Experience with enterprise software; SAP experience strongly desired.

• Assist in managing activities regarding the disposition of non-conforming materials through Quality Notifications (QN); such as generating, routing, recording and the usage decision into SAP.

• Assist in the execution of Equipment Validations (IQ/OQ) and Test Method Validations (TMV) as an operator.

• Assure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required or previous experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• IPC-A-610 Specialist Certification desirable.

What's the role?

To assist in maintaining Quality Assurance and Control practices in adherence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations for the Quality System Regulation and for ISO 13485 standards, the QA Specialist is responsible for managing complaint handling, returned goods tracking and reporting requirements. The Quality Control Compliance Specialist will be responsible for working with the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams coordinating activities required for investigations including failure analysis, nonconformance and CAPA related to complaints. The position requires reporting returns to regulatory agencies as required and close investigations within appropriate timeframes.

• Evaluate, investigate, and resolve complaints while also analyzing complaint data and gathering additional information as needed.

• Manage the complaint investigation process end-to-end.

• Work with other teams in a collaborative environment to complete the end-to-end complaints process in a highly regulated environment.

• Document product return and/or complaints as well as the results of investigations in a timely manner.

• Interface with customers and internal employees for reporting of complaints and returned goods.

• Document the analyses of product complaints for trends and identification of potential corrective or preventive actions.

• Serve as a member of the internal audit team and implement/assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Do you qualify?

• H.S. Diploma with 3+ years relevant experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, clinical sciences, related sciences is preferred.

• 3+ year of post-market complaints experience in a medically regulated industry with an understanding of appropriate global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.

• Medical Device and or other regulated industry (Pharma, IVD,) preferred.

• Must be able to work within a team to gather information needed to understand and solve problems

• 2+years’ experience in Technical Writing

• 2+ years’ experience with creation and writing procedures or policies

• Working knowledge of Microsoft software programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred Quality Management software knowledge preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Responsibilities

• Sorts customer orders properly, picks products from inventory locations, verifies other associate product pulls, and prepares goods for final shipment in accordance to product temperature shipping requirements, as instructed.

• Packs orders requiring dry ice refrigerant as directed.

• Process daily outbound customer orders using automated carrier or manual shipping systems.

$140,000.00 - $192,500.00

Job Description Summary

The Shipping Team Lead is expected drive both department and business objectives by ensuring the timely distribution of finished goods, work in process and required materials to end customers, distribution centers and internal customers with a high degree of quality. The position is expected to lead by example and maintain team productivity. The person is required to schedule and train other technicians on the Shipping processes in-line with department standard operating procedures and work instructions. The associate will assign daily tasks as necessary by wisely using existing capacity to keep up the overall productivity. The person must be an expert in the field so he/she can handle various challenges within distribution. The associate is involved in the review of new processes to distribute products, the review of new routes and or freight forwarders and the overall improvement of distribution. The Team Lead should understand the overall business objectives as it pertains to the department and work cross-functionally on resource allocation or issue resolution to reduce risks in order to meet customer demand. The person will report directly to the immediate supervisor and provide input for performance evaluation of the direct team members, performing associate 1on1’s, creating and managing associate individual impact goals and driving overall department key objectives. The person will be involved in the hiring process for future employees. The person is required to have good problem-solving skills and expected to instruct the team members on troubleshooting and communicate with the team to minimize the impact to business when issues are encountered. The associate will be expected to create and maintain departmental metrics and be able to speak to them as required. The position will support and participate in continuous improvement projects as identified by the Executive Steering Committee and assigned by the manager.

Job Overview

• Support departmental shipping supplies and material management function including storing, retrieving and staging supplies/materials as required.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool Diploma / GED

• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

• Advanced computer skills

• Ability to perform intermediate math calculations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials distribution, logistics/inventory management, or manufacturing operations.

• IATA and DOT regulation knowledge preferred.

• Knowledge of Inventory and WMS, including shipment processing of International and Domestic carriers.

• Minimum 2 years of people leadership including coaching, development, and collaboration.
