YOUR ROLE
As Inventory Front Line Manager you will manage and monitor all aspects of the operation to ensure stock is available to fulfil requirements at all times. You will build strong relationships with the customer, offering excellent customer service within budgetary constraints and work with them to ensure efficient planning, reviewing and communication of operational requirements and changes, responding positively to customer requests at all times. You will be responsible for monitoring general business KPI's, ensuring that they are met and improved upon through the effective management of the operation/ operational area of concern. Utilising your team management skills you will create and maintain an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensure employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process adherence; review on a regular basis all WI and SOP's to keep them up to date.
- Working with the operation to achieve KPI and SOR targets and produce weekly reports to send out to the OLS Manager
- Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency and root cause analysis on issues to prevent future errors.
- Conducting Daily, Weekly and Monthly briefings with whole team, achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy and the development of your team including succession planning.
- Promoting high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensuring compliance to all legislative Health & Safety requirements.
- Promoting and ensuring a consistent, fair and thorough approach to the implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements.
- Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy and comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment
- Strong warehouse system experience
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate with the ability to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict successfully
- Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
- Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
- A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
- Experience of working to agreed targets
- Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems
