We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Advisor to join our Customer Services Team, to cover up to 3-month secondment, covering the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.

Working as part of a busy team, you will provide a front-line service to customers and staff - in person, by telephone, email and web. Dealing with the public, you will provide advice, interpret queries and re-route customers across a range of Council services.

The Customer Service Centre receives over 150,000 customer contacts a year, across various access channels, and you will be handling everything from arranging a waste collection to processing food voucher requests, as well as taking call back messages for busy departments.

Domestic Gas Engineers required for large housing maintenance specialist with lots of work on separate patches in Essex. Suitable candidates must be competent with breakdown and servicing on all domestic gas boilers.

There is a requirement for all of the engineers in the team to cover callout. This is 1 day per week, every week and rolling ( including weekend days). Out of hours are 24hr, however after 10pm will only be for major water leaks. These are paid at £40 incomplete and £50 for completions. Overtime works at 1.5 hour rate travel to job and time to complete. There are also opportunities for training and development.

Suitable Gas engineers must hold domestic ACS qualifications for CENWAT, CCN, CKR, HTR. Qualifications in OFTEC or LPG are also desired but not essential.

My client provides integrated asset management for housing associations and local authorities, focusing on improving the living conditions of residents and leaving a lasting legacy in the communities they serve. Their services include responsive repairs, void refurbishments, compliance services and planned maintenance works.
Your new role
They are currently looking for two Customer Service Advisors to join their Basildon contract. You'll be responsible for liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and supervisors to schedule appointments, ensuring that future jobs are appointed in a way that will ensure their contractual Service Level Agreements are met, and no false promises are given. You'll liaise with supervisory teams and the regional buyers to ensure materials / equipment is ready for use at the agreed appointment times.Using their MSi system, you'll actively schedule available operatives and subcontractors for jobs, discuss complex repairs, demanding customers and those who have suffered service failure, where your role is to instil the customers' confidence.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong administration, organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal. With excellent customer service skills, you'll have previous experience within the repair and maintenance sector, or a trade-based background, with good problem-solving skills.
