Community Partnership & Communications Executive

Full–time

Salary range: SGD$3,000 - $4,000

Reporting to Executive Director, this position will be responsible for creating and driving effective communication and community partnership strategies, and building strong relationships for the Charity.

The candidate should plan to meet the yearly fundraising targets to ensure the sustainability of K9Assistance’s programmes. These activities shall be aligned to achieve K9Assistance’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

The incumbent should be comfortable around Assistance Dogs.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Community Partnership & Communications Executive is responsible for the development of cohesive messages and the dissemination of information, both in presentations and in other communications to stakeholders, playing a key role in how stakeholders perceive the organisation.  You will also be responsible for the organisation’s collaterals, website and social media channels.

Primary responsibilities:

• The incumbent should be able to confidently make compelling public presentations to drive awareness of Assistance Dogs. These activities shall be aligned to achieve K9Assistance’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
• Assist to develop clear, compelling and consistent messages and materials to stakeholders.
• Plan, organise, coordinate and execute corporate events to promote awareness with our partners and potential clients.
• Assist to develop and implement strategies to reach out and engage stakeholders.
• Plan, write and edit content for communications and regular newsletter to update donors, volunteers and partners.
• Manage website and social media activities, including creating and maintaining content to engage new and existing stakeholders.
• Develop contents, design and layout for collaterals.
• Prepare reports on a timely-basis and accurately collate information for Executive Director and the Board.
• Organise and manage organisation's data and digital assets to ensure safe and secure storage of information.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc projects assigned by the Executive Director or the Board.

Requirements

Technical Competencies:

• Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Business or related field with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong writing, proofreading, editing, layout and design skills.
• Experience with social media, websites, creating audio and visual content and other digital tools.
• Experience with events management (both online and in-person events).
• Deep knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital/social media.

Core Competencies:

• A confident communicator and presenter with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate in team and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to multi-task, has excellent organisational, planning, project and time management skills.
• At least 2 years of working experience preferably from a SME

• The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Deliver and support internal and external communications and public outreach, coordinating and managing the implementation of all communications elements using both internal and external resources.
• Express facts and ideas both in writing and orally in a clear, concise, and organized manner that meets established standards for format and style and is appropriate for the intended audience.
• Ensure that announcements, invitations to bid, requests for information, requests for proposals, and related contractual documents in the administration of contracts are distributed and posted.
• Prepare personnel to speak effectively on program matters with the public, industry, and other interested groups.
• Oversee the communication of the necessary memoranda, dockets, and purchase plans, and ensures clearance with appropriate officials.
• Coordinate with the Food and Drug Administration, Food Safety and Inspection Service, Food and Nutrition Service, and other Federal, State, and local government agencies to resolve complaints.
• Coordinates with the AMS FOIA Office and Subject Matter experts to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests.

Internal Communications Lead

We're looking for someone to join the team for a maternity cover contract - ideally for 12-14 months, with time to handover at the start and end of the contract. Join the charity at a time of exciting change, and support staff and volunteers to deliver more impact for stroke survivors.

This is a full-time, fixed term maternity contract role offering home working and flexible hours.

Position: POD38 Internal Communications Lead

Location: Home-based, UK Nationwide. Regular travel will be required as part of this role - often to Birmingham or London

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £49,356 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,100 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed-term maternity cover until April 2026.

The Internal Communications Team sits within the People Experience Team, who play a vital role in shaping people's experience of the charity as a great place to work, volunteer and grow.

This is an exciting time to be taking on this role. The charity is embedding some new practices to the way that it approaches improvement and change work, as well as how they define and prioritise day-to-day priorities. This means that you'll have a significant role in coaching and supporting a remote and changing Internal Communications Team throughout this fixed term contract. As well as supporting organisational with this change too.
