Your new job as a Real Estate Account Executive will be working for a privately-owned Global Lloyd's Broker with offices based around the UK and Worldwide, with their head office based in the City. Due to continued successful growth within the Real Estate division, they are looking to recruit an experienced Real Estate Account Executive to join them in a client and market-facing role to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service across the team

Your new role
Your new job working as a Real Estate Account Executive means you will be working with a team of experienced insurance professionals leading client advocacy as main contacts for significant mid-large corporate accounts, with responsibility for day to day service delivery, delegation and for supporting the leadership of individual teams. You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day service delivery to a mixed portfolio of UK and or European property owner and real estate clients. Your role will be to deliver an enhanced service and added value to clients, maintaining a robust approach to ensure all clients have a service plan and an annual timetable of visits aligned to their needs. Dealing with clients from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing renewal income and actively seek out and generate new revenue opportunities through regular new business activity and by attending networking events. Building and growing a wide network of client and market contacts and serve as a role model and mentor to associates in developing the same. Other duties will include attending insurer review meetings as well as preparing renewal reports and other technical documents. What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Real Estate / Property owners Account handler or as an Account Executive, handling Property Owners or Real Estate business will lead to your success. You will also have excellent communications skills and the ability to attend external client meetings when required.

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Contract Type: Permanent

My client are a leading enabling specialist contractor. Their portfolio includes complex projects ranging from 8-10 storey buildings involving soft strip and full demolitions, basement box working with a variety of structural elements such as metal frames, MEP systems, facades, waterproofing, and weatherproofing etc.

They are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, working closely with the site team and ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget.

What We Offer:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple demolition projects, ranging from £5-10 million in value.
• Take full responsibility for the cost management of projects, including cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and maintain positive relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
• Support junior team members and provide guidance, but be expected to manage your own projects independently.
• Regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure financial and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with experience running your own projects.
• Background: A civil engineering background is beneficial but not essential.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, ideally within demolition or construction sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of cost control and budget management.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance while also being a team player when needed.
• Right attitude and industry savvy with a proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.

Your new role

Your new role working as an Account Executive means you will be responsible for managing major existing Construction clients effectively, proactively developing and attaining Company income and growth objectives for an assigned client portfolio. Dealing with you clients from inception to completion, handling all meeting renewals, cross-selling , and dealing with any new business. You will be responsible for dealing with clients with confidence showcasing exceptional product knowledge. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key insurers and underwriters, collaborating closely with other divisions, Account Executives, and Handlers to build enduring connections with existing and new clients. Offer advice on existing products and demonstrate extensive expertise in a wide range of Construction products and relevant contract terms.
Other duties will include having overall responsibility for your assigned client relationships and provide assistance as needed for other clients, including liaising with specialised PI and Surety teams. Collaborate with other areas to identify cross-selling and expanded services opportunities, aiming to maximise product sales across the existing client base. Support the Construction team in achieving cross-selling opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from inception to completion. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
