As a key senior leader in Look Ahead, the Head of Service will work in alignment with the Director of Housing Related Support, and the wider Senior Management Team to drive performance, quality, business, and financial efficiencies. The Head of Service will be the strategic and operational lead ensuring delivery of consistent and high-quality performance across the Housing Related Support directorate. The successful candidate will ensure that all Services are run effectively, well managed financially and employees are performing at high levels.

The ideal person for this role will have: 

• Specialist experience and knowledge of working within the Housing Related Support sector, as well as expertise and passion for the relevant matrix lead area

The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure members of the local community are able to access critical mental health support at all hours. The service receives referrals primarily from a local hospital emergency department and crisis lines, and may receive these referrals at anytime of day or night.

A dynamic, friendly and innovative care and support business known for its life-changing services is looking for a dedicated and target driven Income and Housing Officer who can maximise the organisation's rental income collection, effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.

Managing a patch of 4 units across our services you will ensure that challenging rent collection targets are met but also that everything is done to avoid eviction. Your personal qualities are as important in this role as your work experience.

Working alongside Operational Colleagues, the Income and Housing Officer will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of generic Housing Management services across their patch with the main focus on Income Collection and some ASB management. You will be expected to meet tight KPI's increasing rent collection and carry out rent arrears actions at all stages from the initial warning letters to the eviction stage.

In order to effectively deliver the services listed above to their patch, the Income and Housing Officer will need to work closely with Contract Managers and Support Workers working within our projects to empower and enable them to carry out their responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite to the role. The post holder will be extremely flexible and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time.

* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained
* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Contract Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.

There are 5 hostels in the cluster ranging from high, medium to low support which are all based in the borough of RBKC.

The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24 hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues. The Assessment Centre is staffed 24/7.
The hostels are in close proximity to each other, and staff will be expected to work across the units. Three of the hostels supports both male and female customers and one is males only.

Heaney Hub implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
Support Workers will devise person centred support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

Look Ahead Care and Support own and manage a mixed portfolio of properties across London and the Home Counties. The organisation accommodates customers with a range of support needs. We require a driven, hard-working, and determined individual who can work alongside central teams ensuring they are working effectively.

The post holder will provide practical, analytical and administrative support to the different functions within the customer experience directorate. This includes working closely with the Senior Health and Safety Manager to process relevant documentation, policies, and procedures.

The role will take responsibility for the administration and maintenance of the incident and investigation system (RIVO) and will liaise with the Safeguarding Manager on making sure all required actions are followed up. The role also will lead on the administration of the Quality Management System (QMS) and following up on any actions which follow Quality Audits across services. The role will also have responsibility for following up on non-conformance across the different systems, and produce regular reports with available data.

What you'll do:

Assist with the management of the Look Ahead Health & Safety risk register and annual action plan.
Assist with occasional health and safety and quality audits to gain experience of operations in the field.
Champion the Health & Safety and Safeguarding departments intranet page and document control
Champion the RIVO system, ensuring incidents are reported correctly and manage the follow up actions.
Identify internal themes, trends and good practice emerging from incidents, quality reports and health and safety alerts
Manage the mailboxes across the teams, including H&S, Safeguarding and Quality, responding to any email queries and register this information for further investigation.
Support the processes Look Ahead needs to meet its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
Assist the Senior Health & Safety Manager in co-ordinating the administration and development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
Analyse and collate the results of Quality visits across the organisation, monitoring the return of improvement plans and self audits.

Antill Road is a day service for adults and young people with a range of complex needs including severe learning and physical disabilities, complex healthcare and behavioural needs. In your role as a Support Worker at Antill Road, you will be required to support our customers to take part in a range of fulfilling and meaningful daytime activities both at Antill Road and in the community whilst ensuring that their health, wellbeing and educational needs are met. This will include providing physical, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

This working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday, 9.00 - 17.00.

What you'll do:

Supporting people with complex disabilities to take part in a range of learning, leisure, health and wellbeing-based activities during daytime hours, with some occasional flexibility required on an out of hours basis
Supporting customers to access leisure and learning-based opportunities both at Antill Road and in the community in line with their individualised activity plan
Supporting each customer in the delivery of their prescribed health, physio, nutritional and sensory routines with guidance from / in partnership with external healthcare professionals
Partnership working with a range of stakeholders including families, healthcare professionals, external personal assistants other support agencies to maximise outcomes for customers
Providing support around personal care and mobility as well as the moving and handling of customers with physical disabilities / wheelchair users
Maintenance of accurate and detailed paperwork for each customer's support file
Participation in support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
Working innovatively and creatively in order to engage hard to reach, chaotic and complex customers.
Observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, their duration, intensity, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour
Employing superb interpersonal and relationship skills to handle psychological and behavioural changes
Understanding and collaborating with the different support organisations accessible in the community
Presenting and giving feedback to other professionals in a formal setting
Participating in the design and review of behavioural intervention plans
Measuring goals and objectives of behaviour support plans to ensure they are being met
Communicating with families and care managers regarding customer's progress in the absence of management
