We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised individual to join our team as a School Receptionist & Attendance Administrator. This is a combined role that plays a crucial part in the daily operations of our school, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service while also supporting student attendance and punctuality.

As the School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, providing professional customer service at our busy front desk and managing phone and email enquiries. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Attendance Officer to maintain accurate attendance records and ensure all procedures related to student absences are followed.

This varied and rewarding role involves managing multiple administrative duties, updating the school’s website, and supporting the wider school team with key operational tasks.

The hours in each role will be split between the day, 8:30 am – 12:15 pm as Attendance Administrator and 12:45 pm – 16:30 as Receptionist Monday – Thursday and 12:45 – 16:00 on Fridays.

What skills and experience we're looking for



The successful candidate will have;

• Experience of working with national frameworks, and evidence of working with students with a range of learning difficulties.
• The ability to communicate effectively with children and young people.
• A good working knowledge or willingness to learn the relevant and planned intervention programmes/strategies to support our students to remain within the mainstream classroom.

As part of this role, you will;

• Work closely with the Vice Principal (VP), Assistant Principal’s (AP’s) and the wider pastoral team, to effectively identify, plan and implement intervention for students who need additional support with regards to their behaviour.
• Work closely with staff in the Remote Learning Room and Support 2 Learn (S2L) to support the needs of individual students.
• Support the work of Year Teams to minimise behavioural issues across the school
• Support and assist in the development of clear behaviour management systems which complement the work of classroom teachers.
• Communicate effectively with parents providing information regarding student behaviour and progress.
