SEND Learning Support Assistant – BG7 (TTO pro rata)
Contract: This is a temporary post to start as soon as possible.
Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School currently has a vacancy for a full-time LSA for 32.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will be timetabled to work both as a Class LSA and as a 1:1 support with SEND pupils across the primary range. Experience of the classroom environment, knowledge of phonics, working with pupils with an ASC diagnosis, developmental delay and knowledge of Attention Autism and PECs would be desirable. Training and support will be provided as appropriate.
You will be joining a friendly, open, welcoming team working within the school. We are looking for someone with a passion for setting high expectations and aspirations for all children and especially those with SEND. Experience of supporting class teachers in differentiating a curriculum to support children’s needs and an understanding of approaches to develop self-esteem is important. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oasis Academy Long Cross for an enthusiastic and caring individual to provide support for learning activities on an individual or small group basis in our Academy, under the direction of the line manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our highly skilled Reception team, who is committed to providing outstanding provision for children. We need a resilient, positive practitioner who shows a good understanding of child development and a clear knowledge of the curriculum.
Candidates will be expected to have at least an NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or be working towards this and experience of working with children in either a mainstream or special school provision.
The closing date is Tuesday 6th August 2024, interviews will be held on Thursday 8th August.
