The team work across in patient, community (Early Supported Discharge ESD) and out-patient settings to provide specialist, evidence based Neuro-rehab to patients following stoke or other Neurological diagnosis. This post is based on our in patient unit supporting the team to deliver specialist neurorehabilitation at the beginning of the patients rehab journey. You will also be supported to acquire knowledge and skills to give you a sound core competency in Stroke care and Neuro-rehab. The in-patient team are an integrated physiotherapy and occupational therapy team working on a 24 bedded ward at North Devon Hospital. They work closely with the broader MDT including the Nursing staff, Doctors, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians and Psychologists. The team is specialist in providing acute therapy post stroke and neurological diagnosis. They assess patients physical and cognitive abilities as well as functional ability with things like walking, washing and dressing and activities in the kitchen. They consider the patients previous abilities, home and lifestyle to plan goals and formulate a treatment plan. The team work closely with patients and families to support them with what has happened and plan for the future. They work collaboratively to plan discharge into a community setting as soon as patients are able to receive their rehab in the home environment. The community ICSS (Integrated Community Stroke Service) link closely with the Ward team to provide a seamless transition of care and visit patients in their homes as soon as patients are able to be discharged from hospital providing intensive, specialist Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The MPGS provides professional soldiers to meet armed security requirements at Royal Navy, Army, RAF and other MOD bases across the UK Mainland. Our primary role is to counter the terrorist threat posed to military bases within the UK.

Our duties include:
Security incident management - Such as suspicious packages, bomb threats, protests, etc.

Patrolling site perimeters - Taking necessary action to preserve perimeter security.
Controlling entry and exit - Managing control room and gate operations and ensuring all visitors are dealt with efficiently.

Military Working Dog services (at selected sites).

Our units are located at over 119 sites across the UK mainland. We have our own Military Local Service Contract which allows soldiers to choose where they wish to serve, providing there is a vacancy.

Requirements:
• Background - You must have at least 3 years prior Military Service, or be currently serving, in any arm of the British Military, regular or reserves.

• Age - You must be over 18 years and under 57 years of age at re-enlistment.

• Fitness Eligibility - You must be medically fit and have a Body Mass Index below 32.

• Driving Licence - You must have a full UK driving licence with less than 8 penalty points.
