Joint Emergency Team (Integrated Rapid Response Team)

37.5 hours per week

This is an integrated role working across both health and social care which is jointly funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and is accountable to both organisations.

The Joint Emergency Team (JET) provides nursing, therapy, medical and social care crisis intervention, incorporating the 2-hour urgent community response (including the falls pick up service) and a virtual ward pathway supporting adults to remain in their home and avoid admission to hospital or care homes.

The team operates 365 days per year 08.00 to 20.30 receiving referrals from a range of health, social care professionals and triages, assesses, and delivers treatment and intervention to ensure the client / patient can remain safely in their own home.

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership management and development of the Joint Emergency Team as well as the Royal Borough of Greenwich out of hours service.





The post holder will be required to provide leadership and coordination of the team which includes the out of hour service of the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) and will have a lead role in supporting the development and delivery of practice standards within the Urgent Community Response Service (UCR), the Falls Pick Up Service and the Virtual Ward. Barts Health requires an Deputy Lead Cancer Nurse to work as part of the Corporate Nursing Team across all four hospitals in the BH Group of hospitals. This a new role to support the Director of Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing while leading on the specialist palliative care nursing agenda. We are currently looking for Health Care Assistants (band 2) to join our team.
We are an established team looking after patients who have undergone surgical procedures and also those with acute /chronic health conditions.

As a health care assistant on ward your responsibilities would be taking observations, assist in patients with personal care and mobility. You will be constantly providing our patients with the highest standard of customer service.
You will be doing a mixture of nights and day shifts
