This is an exciting opportunity to join Dimensions UK as we recruit several new colleagues into our supported living home in Harston, Cambridgeshire. The successful applicants will be supporting four people between the ages of 20-50. This supported living home is 15 minutes from Cambridgeshire city centre, 50 minutes from Peterborough and up to 45 minutes from Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. We also offer free parking on site!
We support people to live in and be a part of their community, supporting happy and positive lives. We now need added support to continue the magnificent work of our teams so that we continue putting smiles on people's faces. You will be working within an established team to provide excellent, person centred support to people with a learning disability and/or autism living in their own homes, enabling them to lead their lives in ways that make sense to them. We know that this is a demanding and challenging role with no two days the same, which is part of what makes it so interesting and for people with the right skills, experience, and ability it is a brilliant way to make people's lives better in lots of diverse ways.
Your key responsibilities:
- Support with their activities and interests. The adults supported enjoy swimming, art therapy, massages and attending Friday night club!
- Promote independence and enable people to develop new skills and interests.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the people we support.
- Support adults with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
- Work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated support.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.

Shift Patterns:
This position will include working on a two-week rolling rota. Shift times can be 7:30am -3pm / 2:30pm-10pm / 7:30am-10pm, sleep ins and alternative weekends. This will be discussed with you during the interview process.
